I Dont know what was worse the way they treated me or the condition of the apartment..The condition of the apt. when I first moved in bothered me a alot!The carpet was still wet when I moved in,there was fleas that were bitting me and my two year old child in it,it smelt like dogs(I later found out from downstairs neighbor that there were 6 dogs in here before me)my own family couldnt stand to be in it for too long cause of there alergies.The fixtures were not mounted on properly ex:toilet paper holder,towel holder,shelves in kitchen,bathroom levers and I can go on.U know it didnt bother me to much at time of move in I was a first time renter and I was excited o be on my own and I thought it was normal!But then I filled out the fixer form they tell u to and no one came to fix nothing.Actually to jump ahead later along I had alot of problems with maintenance not fixing things and coming into my apt unanounced to fix things that I didnt even call for I was really worried of my safety and my childs.I had to re clean the carpet and i just delt with fixtures.On top of that I was having problems with my room mate and decided to break the lease I was willing to pay anything they asked I know it was gonna be pricy that wasnt the problem it was the horrible way they did there buisness.First off I went in to tell them I was gonna break lease they told me I would end up owing them an x amount of money I said ok,they gave me a time to move out and told me to have the keys brought back at a certain date.that date came and to my suprise when i went there the manager told me she had no document stating that i wanted to do that(being a naieve first time renter i thought all this was going to be taken care of -now i know that a verbal agreement with ur leasing agent deosnt mean nothing even if they said ok see u at a certain date).So my question was so who the blank did i disguss all this with i wouldnt just make this up,im thinking oh im supposed to operate ur buisness to and make sure ur leasing agents do there job too my god.I was beyond furious at this point I just wanted this to be done wit so she gave me papers to sign and it was official.So then remeber the money i had to give them yeah they told me to give them a forwarding adress and I did and already knowing what they were about I had the manager sign it and take a copy for me.they said my bill would be mailed to that address stated so about 2 months went by and no letter so i called a guy named john told me he was incharge with breaking the lease final documents and he sent it back to the apt.I moved out of!,cause there wasnt any forwarding add. so i was like what! yes there was one given i have the same document u should have and he said no such document existed and that it had went to collection to go against my cedit.I was like what thats not fair I want to talk to the manager and he hung up so i contacted my lawyer and went down there with her (by the way this is around christmas time now- a week away)and asked to speak to the manager and she saw me right away( i brought a tape recorder to record our conversation in case they tried anything funny)I told her my story and not to my suprise she did't know anything about it so she apologized to me and gave me the letter that got returned and said it hadnt went to collection and that it was due at the end of the month i said please after all i've been thru with this leasing buiding please give me an extension its christmas she said how about the 15th of next month i said fine thats great im sorry i didnt speak to u sooner and u need to sit down with ur staff cause u are going to loose buisness because of things like this.she said she was going to do that.I was relieved it was over.Oh so I thought well I sent the money certified mail so they would have to sign to get it and they did and they couldnt try anything funny well after I sent them the money wich was 5 days before it was owed the collection agency is calling me saying they filed it against me saying i never paid nothing well I was so mad I called the guy john he then told me that he knew nothing about the extension and that it was owed at the end of the month as stated on the bill.then he said wait yeah we got the money but it was late u sent it such and such date and it was supposed to be this and this i said u know what ur lies and mis handeling of documents is gonn a get yall in alot of trouble cause im not dum anymore I paper trailed everything and i have all my proof of date and yall will be no longer speaking to me u will be speaking to my lawyer and buisness officials.So I let my lawyer handel it and and everything was sorted out the collection agency apologized and said it was like it never happened.In all I still felt cheated because management is still allowed to rent to unexpected people.I tell everyone that would listen my story ,when ask about apartments that are good.I will be at peace with the whole thing when they get there buisness licsense revoked for good.

I am sorry anyone had to go through that your not the only person everyone here complains about the state of there apt. Problem is agents book things and dont put it on the bored to get done and expect maintance, painter, carpet, housekeeping, exterminator all to do it together in 3 days. and the Manager is #1 to blame for this!
