The roofs leak. The showers don't work & the paint they painted over the bathroom tiles always sheds. The vents in the bathrooms drop bugs & debris. The management/staff are rude & uncaring. There is always trash laying around & the gate around the community doesnt work & has several breaches. The walls have several holes in them that have been poorly patched & the buildings are poorly insulated. If you move here expect a high phone bill. You pretty much have to make your own repairs because maintanence is unresponsive. They say that they are improving the complex but all they have done is paint it. If you do move here dont expect to stay long because they will probably go condo like every other tenament in Tampa.

I don't think they'll succeed if they do go condo because the apartments next door(Grande Oasis) to you guys that went condo months ago are still having a difficult time moving in owners over renters that now, they're advertising that they're renting again. I remember when they first advertised that they're condos prices started at $150,000 . Well, a lot of people didn't think it was reasonable and now, they're advertising that they're selling in the $80,000 range. That's a huge drop from $150,000 , don't you think? They're luck will be just as bad if they do decide to go condo.That area isn't great for talking about going condo because a vast majority of the people who live in that area probabaly could never qualify for a home anyhow.The only ones who own homes are a lot of older people who were lucky enough to own before credit checks and banks came along in the homeowner process. They're homes are either paid off or almost paid off. They're so lucky and I wish I were one of them. They'd be better off sticking in the renting business where they'll make their money instead of trying to cash out quickly by going condo just to lower they're asking price because people can't afford it or simply think it's not worth that much. Renting is where the real money is.If they're smart, they'll stay that way. Another way to take advantage of the credit challenged...High rent equal to a house payment and permanent tenants. What ever you do, don't move to FLAMINGO WEST APARTMENTS..it's run by a real negligent slumlord who collects the rent and could care less about his tenants.
