When I moved into this place it was halfway decent. A large apt with a W/D included in a nice part of Tampa for a good price. I figured I couldn't go wrong. A lady was murdered by her neighbor there and Garden (The management company) was sued for not having proper security. The company lost and needed to make up the money somehow. This is how they did it. By hiring people who could not get jobs anywhere else: drug dealers, thiefs, convicted felons. Also by letting less than desirable tenants move into the complex. A teenager threatened to kill me after I honked at him when I was in my car and he was walking in the middle of the street. The maintenence crew was always either drunk or high. I tested one guy by offering him a beer. He drank it and asked for more! The door to my outside storage was completely rusted, they just painted over it and told me not to tell anyone. There was never any parking spaces in front of my building. My car was broken into once and vandalized twice. This all cost me over 1,000 dollars after my deductible. The tenants they are letting live there now are poverty cases and the complex gets a tax break from them living there. These social outcasts spend their days fixing their cars in the parking lots, putting on really loud mufflers and making their car stereos even louder. Which by the way they have no regard for other people and drop the bass at whatever hour of the day. One of my lovely neighbors was this single mom in her 20s with 2 small children. One night around 1am I was sleeping with my window open and I was awoken by the bass coming from her car. It was rap music with lyrics such as f this and f that and ------- d. Then I see her get out of her car with her 2 small kids. Nice. She let them stay up all night and they were in the bedroom right above me so I'd hear them stomping on the floor at 2am, 3am, 4am. I told her numerous times about the noise, she was always nice but never did anything. I told the leasing office, they were always nice but never did anything. Another apt had about 6 Asian people living in, I think half of them spoke English. They were always screaming in the hallways in their native tongue and taking up all the parking spots in front of the building. Florida law says you should have 1 1/2 spaces in front of your building if you live in a 1 br place, yeah right! I had another neighbor who sported a mullet and sang karaoke at the top of his lungs after drinking a case of Nat Light. He also left his mutt on the outside porch all day and the thing would howl all times of the day and night. There is supossed to be a weight limit on dogs there, this thing was huge and obviously way over the limit. To cap things off I'm ready to move out and they tell me I have to have the carpets cleaned and the apt must be cleaned too. I can see the move out clean but never heard of the carpet cleaned deal. One of the girls in the office offers to clean the apt for $30 cash and I get the company that cleans the complexe's carpets for $50. I have been moved out of there for 3 months and I get a call. It's a collection agency telling me they are coming after me for not paying my bills with the complex. I had given the complex my address and phone number if they needed to contact me in any way, they also could have sent a notice to my old apt and it would automatically forward to my new address. They did neither and never gave me a chance to dispute the charges against me. The agency says the complex is charging me for a new carpet because the carpet was dirty and say there were pet stains on it and I didn't even have a pet! They say the apt was dirty and are charging me 50 bucks for a cleaning. I found out the girl was not supposed to do the cleaning and probably never did, just kept my money. I disputed all the charges brought against me and felt lucky to only have lost my security deposit. Watch out, these people will try to milk everything they can out of you. They have no morals, ethical codes they live by or good business sense and it shows by the amount of empty apartments they have right now. Don't do it!

yeah, it's pretty funny the list of things they want cleaned upon leaving the apartment. When i moved in the carpet was old, crusty and stained. They are pretty much asking you to spit shine ---- as my boyfriend put it.
