I LIVED AT THIS COMPLEX FROM 2005-2006. DURING THE FIRST MONTH OF RESIDENCE MY CAR WAS BROKEN INTO. I REPORTED THIS TO MANAGEMENT SO THAT IT CAN BE DOCUMENTED IN MY FILE IN CASE IT KEPT HAPPENING BUT THEY DID NOT SEEM TO CARE, THEY JUST ACTED LIKE THEY COULDN'T BELIEVE IT, YEAH RIGHT......
WHEN THE LIGHTS IN THE CORRIDORS GO OUT, THEY GO UNREPLACED FOR WEEKS. ONCE IT TOOK A MONTH FOR THE BULBS TO BE REPLACED. I RETURN HOME FROM WORK AT ABOUT 11;45 PM SO I HAD TO MAKE SURE I ALWAYS HAD A FLASHLIGHT. I LIVED NEAR THE POOL WHICH I THOUGHT WOULD BE NICE WHEN I LEASED BUT THE FARTHER AWAY FROM THE POOL PROBABLY THE BETTER, ESP. DURING THE WEEKENDS WITH THE LATE NIGHT POOL PARTIES, BUT THEN AGAIN WHY SHOULD TENANTS RESPECT THE POOL RULES WHEN MANAGEMENT THEMSELVES HAD AN OCCASSIONAL POOL PARTY OR TWO. MY APARTMENT COULD HAVE BEEN CLEANED BETTER BEFORE MOVE IN AND MY CARPET WAS DEFINITELY NOT JUST REPLACED AS I WAS TOLD. MY GREATEST WARNING TO ALL NEW TENANTS IS TO GET PICTURES OF YOUR CARPET AND DAMAGES NO MATTER HOW MINOR AND KEEP COPIES OF ANY DOCUMENTS BETWEEN YOU AND MANAGEMENT. UPON VACATING MY APARTMENT, I THOROUGHLY CLEANED UP MY APARTMENT AND HAD MY CARPET STEAM CLEANED AS I WAS SUPPOSED TO. I REQUESTED A WALK THRU ON VACATING UPON VACATING BUT STAFF WAS TOO LAZY TO COMPLY. AFTER TWO MONHS WHEN I CALLED GARDEN MANAGEMENT TO INQUIRE ABOUT MY RENTAL DEPOSIT I WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE MAILED SOON. A WEEK LATER I RECEIVED A CERTIFIED LETTER IN THE MAIL STATING I HAD A $930 BALANCE DUE FOR DAMAGES TO THE APT AND CARPET REPLACEMENT. ALL OF THESE CHARGES WERE MADE UP. THEY ARE EVEN TRYING TO CHARGE ME FOR KITCHEN TILE REPLACEMENT WHEN THE KITCHEN TILES IN APT EVEN HAD TEARS IN THEM WHEN I MOVED IN. MY CARPET WAS LEFT CLEANER THEN WHEN I MOVED IN ALSO, SO TENANTS BE SURE TO GET PICTURES, PICTURES AND MORE PICTURES ON MOVE IN AND MOVE OUT. ALSO KEEP YOUR ORIGINAL RECEIPT FOR CARPET CLEANING AND GIVE THEM A COPY SINCE THEIR DOCUMENTS ALWAYS SEEM TO DISAPPEAR. A NEIGHBOR WHO MOVED OUT PREVIOUS TO ME WAS ALSO CHARGED THE SAME BOGUS CHARGES. I TRIED TO TALK WITH STAFF OVER THE PHONE AT GARDEN MANAGEMENT IN NJ. THEY TRIED TO NEGOTIATE AND DROP CHARGES FOR KITCHEN TILE REPLACEMENT AND THEY WERE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, EVEN CURSED AT ME WHEN I REFUSED TO NEGOTIATE AND THEY STATED "THEN WE'LL JUST TAKE YOU TO COURT". I DIDN'T FIND THE COMPLEX ITSELF TO BE SO BAD TO LIVE IN IF YOU CAN DEAL WITH THE GARBAGE AND THE NOISE FOR THE PRICE BUT MANAGEMENT IS THE ONE TO WATCH OUT FOR. THEY HAVE SO MANY VACANT APARTMENTS I GUESS THEY NEED TO TRY AND GET THEIR MONEY SOMEHOW, WHICH IS A SHAME WHEN YOU HAVE GOOD TENANTS WHO ARE CLEAN AND ALWAYS PAY THEIR RENT ON TIME.
