When we moved it, I really thought the apartment was great. Spacious at a good price. I would buy it if it ever went condo. Then I would take care of the problems the way I would like it done. Now on to the problems:
1. RATS!!! Yep rats. We have had 2 caught in traps already and they think one is dead in our walls due to flys in our kitchen overhead light. Yuck and completely unsanitary. You can tell it must be a problem cause you can see the black boxes outside the buildings. Occasionally you can hear them running around in the walls at night. If the problem is this bad, they need to hire an outside company to take care of it. Not leave it to maintance.
2. Mean staff. We were called the day before we moved that our apt was not ready and that we were getting another apt. At that time we had our new liceanses, checks, and put in our change of address forms. We spent about $100 for those things. I was told it was not my right to get my mail out of the other box that my mail was being fowarded too. Causing me to be late on bills. And that I was not entitled to a credit to get new checks and liceanses. TECO also charged us $25 to change the electric over which was another expense incurred.
3. You can hear everything that we say in our hallway if you are in the kitchen or dining room.
4. The washer and dryer doesn't fit into the closet like I was told
5. The upstairs gets too hot in the summer. Our air runs all day and never gets below 80 degrees. And if you are doing laundry, it's even hotter in the master bedroom.
6. The dryer exhaust vent always gets clogged so it takes twice as long to dry the laundy.
7. Also, our cabinets fell apart breaking all of our dishes. Not even a where sorry for this.
I have leased apartments before and have never treated our residents the way they do here.

The manager there has her baby at work with her, how are you supposed to deal with the public when you have to be quiet when the child is sleeping right there in the office??? They are really mean staff, and certainly not professional. Ever heard of daycare???

In response to nohappyrenter86, I live at The Legacy and the staff has always been nice and professional to me. Obviously, you did something that you weren't suppose to or you asked them for something that they could not provide or give to you and that is why you think they are mean. In regards to the manager having her baby at work; have you ever watched the news?? A lot of companies are allowing their employees to bring their baby to work so they do not lose a good employee. Also, if you are able to bring your baby to work why on either would you want to put your baby in daycare and have a complete stranger help raise your child??? Either you do not have children or you just don't care enough about the well being of your children.
