We are relatively new to the Tampa area and have lived at Legend Oaks since we arrived in September 2003. The location in relation to downtown, I-275, I-4, the airport, etc is GREAT!
The apartment itself is not bad at all for the amount of rent charged. We have had only 2 problems since we moved in almost 2 years ago. One is bugs (mainly palmetto bugs and ants. However, we have had spiders, mice, lizards, and these really strange long and flat bug which we've never seen before in our apaprtment as well). Leg. Oaks is VERY good about having pest control come to your apartment every single week, if you request it. The second problem is with various leaks in the roof and/or air conditioning system. They are not horrible leaks, but annoying, none the less.
Maintenance staff is fast and the office staff is helpful, generally speaking.
We have few complaints with this apartment value (what you get vs. what you pay). We probably would be staying there for yet one more year if they had a washer/dryer connection in any of their apartments. They do not...and the laundry rooms are far from great.

I usta live there growing up and it sucked ass the only good thing was it taught you how to survive always keeping your eyes open how can you say yes it was a crap hole my grandmother's rim fell off her camry and a crackhead scooped it up before we even could turn around
