Do we get what we pay for'

I think the apts here are ok. I don't have any problems with the neighbors around me. I did have the same problem one other poster had with the pan that exploded on me when the oven malfunctioned. I was very supprised when I moved from another state to here and I am paying more for less.
When I walked in it looked like I was back in the early 80's when the were built. I see old cabinets which are worn out to the max, the appliances are old like they were bought from the flea market. Carpet is very thin like walking on concrete and I have had our laundry room flooded twice because of an upstairs leak.
For me the main thing that bothers me so much is I would like to use the exercise facility here but the main machine they have has been broken for almost a year. The cables are frayed and broken (have taken pics and sent them to the proper authority) and someone will get hurt on the system. There is no TV and limited room and there is no free weights. Also the room is dirty it looks like an 80's mens locker room.
The staff is nice and we have come to know our maint. people pretty well they are nice also. Major complaints about the buildings, they are falling apart from what I see; the balconies are rough. The pool area is nice I guess its because they wanted to show it off ( its next to the office).
