management has changed hands twice in a year and has most recently fallen into a bad set of hands. We've got tacky flags and signs up now, fake bricks were just painted in front of the door, and they put mulch in the landscaping but only in front of the office where a prospect might see it not for the residents to enjoy.
it used to be very cozy now its all about them making a buck. It used to be a very classy joint but now trashy people are coming out of the cracks like rats. These people don't take care of their things and are dirty which bring bugs into their neighbors homes and if they park one of their junkers next to you you'll be door dinged for sure.
THE WALLS ARE PAPER THIN! Its bad because it doesn't take an unusually high volumn level to disturb eachother. You will listen to the morning news from your neighbor and you will hear your neighbors nightly techno trance.
Also the place used to be very pet friendly with provided pet waste disposal but i suppose that doesnt fit into the suck 'em in and screw 'em once they've signed plan they've got going. Since the newest manager came in they haven't been refilled.
The new manager is so disconnected from the residents its sad... I'm guessing she's under some extreme pressure to bring in more money because I don't think she's this rediculously rude. When she was replaced so were maintanance staff that had lived and worked here for years as well as office staff who knew the resident's by name. The maintnance man was replaced by a guy i don't know anything about but the office staff is useless now and the one lady who stayed seems like shes limited to less than her potential. I miss the way things were and its becoming just like any other impersonal cooperated apartment community.
Also it would be usefull to know that a great deal of the units are rented out as short term leasing like a hotel stay. my neighborring unit is one of those and its usually isn't a problem however recently the occupant is a heavy smoker and it stinks!
the hot tub is always gross, too. the gym is small and the treadmills are low quality. The apartments were renovated but those renovations are not being maintained like they put cheap carpet in again. We had a pretty serious termite problem this summer.

Sounds like you're overly critical for no reason. I've been here for just over 4 months and have had no problems.
Maintenance: My dishwasher wasn't draining properly and maintenance came by the same day and fixed it.
Neighbors: As far as noise/trash have you tried talking to your neighbors? I never hear mine. No bugs or trash laying around my building or the buildings around it. If you can't resolve the issue civilly with your neighbors then go talk to the office. Passive aggressiveness will get you nowhere. And frankly it makes you look like a child.
Pet waste: Are you that cheap/lazy you can't bring your own plastic bag to pick up your pet's business? (If other people can, so can you) They have several pet waste bins on the property for you to throw out their excrements.
Gym: The gym is small but all the equipment is in working condition. Treadmills are for.....running? There's not much to them, if you're that unhappy with them go running outside or sign up at the YMCA right down the road. You even get a discount for mentioning that you live at mainsail.
Front office: They stained and painted the concrete walkway in front of the office and it looks really nice. I'm not a fan of mulch in general but what's "to enjoy" about it? You planning on rolling around in it?
The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. They tell it like it is and don't present the property as something it's not. My apartment looked exactly like the model if not better. Also if the office is that shallow why would they have flyers up asking the community to donate to Metropolitan Ministries to help the less fortunate this holiday season?
