I lived in Malibu for seven months and I hated it. My roomates had 2 dry boards up for guests to sign. Every time I had my friends over I would let them draw on it for fun. The next day I get a notice that I was unable to control my guests. I went down to the office to see what that was about. The manager said my roomate complained to him that my friends kept drawing on her board. He told her "well you're leaving it out there for them to draw on it. If you don't want them drawing on it then put it in your room." A month later my friends drew on the board again but this time it was worse. My roomates got in a fight with them and all hell broke loose. I realized that I was living with immature teenagers right out of high school. I'm 24 years old and out of college so I decided to take action. I went to the leasing office the next day and showed them a letter I wrote expressing my concerns. They knew exactly how I felt. I told them "either you move me to a different room or I give my 30 days notice." They said they'd hate to lose me so they would move me to a different room. I felt now they will help me. But 3 days later they decided to let me move out. They said it wasn't me that was the problem. It was my friends who couldn't get along with my roomates. That was --------. The problem was my 18 year old roomates who were spoiled brats who's parents pay for their rent. I was actually relieved to move out of Malibu because I couldn't take it there anymore. My recommendation is don't move to Malibu. The rent was over $500 and they didn't have the best amenities. The leasing staff is undertrained too. Idiot teenagers. There are better places out there.

Your roommates are not a reflection on the facilities, because many of us may move in with roommates we've chosen. You should comment on the actual apartments and not why you get aggravated with teenagers.
