I pay a $1000 a month for a one bedroom apartment. I have lived here since 9/05. Just tonight an apartment above us got broken into. The gates out front are broke yet again. You would think for such an expensive place that they would put alarm systems in. All my previous apartments had an alarm system. There is no reason a brand new complex shouldnt install them

You can get a portable security system from ADT now especially for apartments. I would invest in one if it's as bad as you say.
