Worst apartments I've lived in.

I've been living in apartments for ten years now, and this is BY FAR the WORST apartment complex I have EVER lived in. I should've taken a hint from this site when I originally started the apartment hunt, but after looking at the apartments and seeing how nice they were we moved in. The first red flag was a review about a death that took place a couple years ago, after asking the apartment lady about it she informed me that the person was drunk and decided to go for a swim in the lake that is infront of the complex, mis judged the water and drowned to death. The problem here is that the person was drunk when he went for his swim, that's the class of people you're moving in with. After moving in my wife and I quickly noticed an issue about parking, if you're not living in a unit with a garage built into it and you're not home by 6pm then you are not getting a parking space near your apartment. The particular building we live in has a parking area which has a space that is in front of a walk way, after SEVERAL complaints of people parking in front of it, 10 months later, nothing has been resolved, even after the complex was purchased by another management company. Shortly after moving in and settling ourselves we quickly noticed the poor construction of the apartment itself, the counter is cut in odd shapes that you don't notice at first, but begin to bother you. Once the new apartment management company took over we've had someone coming into our apartment EVERY month for one reason or another, we supposed to get 24 hours notice, but sicne my wife and I work the same hours as the office, we only really get 12 hours notice to make arrangements to secure our pets and get the apartment more proper for people. Also after the new management company took over completely they switched the water billing company, we lost the ability to pay it online and gained a 200 dollar water bill for the first month, rather than assume a billing error, when I complained to the property staff they assumed I did not pay my water bill on time, which was quite insulting to say the least. To make matters worse it took them a month and a half to get this over billing corrected.
Monthly home invasions with short notice, poor construction, poor property staff support, and so on, and so on.
Do not move in here. I pay more money in rent now then I did at my last apartment compex and get service equivalent to what I would expect at a hotel property, NOT an apartment complex.
Go somewhere else folks.

i couldn't agree more! your statement about the monthly 'home invasions' is correct and at times at the most inappropriate times! If I had children I would be VERY concerned!!!!!
