I lived at excellence (now called "On50") for 4 years. Its a VERY convenient location for students. USF is right across the street, so biking to class is a great option if you live here. If you are going to move here, these are the main things you should know.
Overall dirty exterior - They pressure wash it every now and then but the hallways\stairs\walkways are usually pretty dirty
Nice Pool \ Hot-tub - They do manage to keep the pool nice, and the hottub usually works
New furniture (as of Jan '09) - The new management just bought brand new furniture for every apartment, its actually pretty nice stuff.
Giant Flat Screen TV - The apartments come with a HUGE flat screen TV in the living room. I think its a bad idea though, I was SO afraid that one of my room mates would break it and then I would end up paying a third of the cost to replace it.
Fairly noisy - it is a college apartment after all, lots of parties going on until the wee hours of the morning. Although the walls are thick enough to make it bearable.
