Motorcyclists and anyone looking for a deal BEWARE!!

Upon looking into what I THOUGHT was a 'reasonable community' I found was no where near what I bargained for. I specifically asked about being able to freely park my motorcycle to the leasing agent before I signed the lease, to which she replied, "oh yes we have many tenants that have motorcycles here, there won't be a problem at all." So I decided seen as though it was a close commute to work (with soaring gas prices) and my motorcycle and car were both allowed, I would 'suck up' the fact that the apartment really wasn't "up to par". The rent was better than most and I figured that the fact that I could have my motorcycle and a close commute would more than make up for it. Boy was I WRONG!! About a month or so after I moved in I was told that I needed to either remove my motorcycle from the property, vacate at once or pay a $50/mo. fee for "covered parking" to which they would provide no security and the motorcycle would be parked no where in my site. They claimed that having motorcycles on their property was a liability to them and that it attracted a crime populous. I removed my motorcycle from the property but have since had several problems with management. Every time I have had a question or a maintenance need it has taken weeks to be answered and the maintenance had to come back 3 times to fix a drain. The pest problem is outrageous, there are bugs everywhere, and I will say, in all honesty I am a "neat freak" so there is nothing out to attract the critters. Also, I know with apartments you have a tendency to hear your neighbors however with as old as the community is, you hear every crick and crack that comes from each step. Also, the very latest thing, I had a bicycle sitting on my porch that was stolen. I notified the office (knowing they wouldn't do anything) however I figured it might be a nice gesture just as a "beware". They immediately got defensive and stated how I signed a waiver knowingly moving into a place with no security. They also had the same reaction when my friends car was stolen (she is a tenant) and they hung up on her and told her to call the police ... she of course already did... however they are not very considerate of any resident. Anyone around me I have talked to has had problems with the management and overall has not been happy with the apartment - even with it being "affordable". With everything else you have to put up with, it makes it not affordable.
