Best apartment I've ever lived in

I rented a ground unit at Pine Tree from June 2008-April 2009, and this is easily been the best place I've ever lived, apartment or otherwise. I'm sorry I had to leave. The complex itself is on an easily-missed road, and as such, doesn't attract attention of undesirables. The grounds are well maintained, and includes a pool and jacuzzi area, as well an exercise room, an area for washing cars and a little dog-walking area for you pet owners. The laundry facility is notable for using cash cards (onto which credit can be loaded in the office) instead of quarters. Fewer trips to the bank! There is also a trash valet available.

The apartments themselves are well designed, sort of resembling beach houses. Outside of a garbage disposal unit dying (and being replaced the next day), I have had no problems with the unit. Of course, being that this IS Florida, you'll expect to find a creepy crawly arriving unannounced in your home once in a while, but I've never had any problems with the usual pests that go with renting an apartment. In fact, I've never even SEEN any sort of vermin.

The staff has always gone above and beyond to resolve any issues with the unit and/or with tenants, and even plans community events (usu. every month). Any issues with the unit are normally resolved within 24 hours. Dealing with them is never a hassle, and it really feels like they want to help you.

Being a small woman living alone, safety is an important issue. There is an exceptionally low tolerance for riff-raff at Pine Tree (if any), and living here, I've never once felt my personal safety at risk. The gated entrance is especially nice.

The only "issues" I've had were some occasional noise problems with the neighbor's dogs (which when they barked, it was an all-day event), but even THAT was dealt with in a timely manner.

If I ever find myself in Tampa again, I would move back to Pine Tree in a heartbeat. This is, hands down, the best apartment for the money.
