Wow let me get back to portofino.. im not sure why everyone is so unhappy at portofino. looking over all of these post for all these complexes. I see all the complaints are the same for all these places. Every one is understandibly mad at noisy neibors. But why is everyone hating on portofino' this post is more for the prospect renters. Noise plauges all of these new tampa complexes, as these were all built by similar contractors.ther is no concrete between floors any where in 33647. living on the third floor is the only way to avoid upstairs noise that neighbors produce. everytime i put in maintenance request, i normaly dont have to wait more than 48 hours. ive delt with the short younger chunker maintenance guy, he smiles alot and always wears the hat. hes nice. ive delt with the maintenance manager mike. hes seemed a bit serious, but was proffesional in explaining the work and situation with my plumbing. he even thanked me for my patience (i had to wait 2 days for a new kitchen faucet to arrive, i called it in on saturday.) i dont understand why everyone hates the office. the girls have always been nice and attentive. (i have been in the office when people are late on rent, and are furious that they have to pay a late fee, and a bounced check fee)how is it the girls fault that they have to enforce company protocol so they can feed thier families every two weeks. i once got charged 50 bucks cause i left a bag of trash on my trunk and it exploded on new tampa blvd( i was late for work)but hey that was my fault! as far as trash on the property. i leave for work about 9 am during the week. if i do see trash on the ground. when i get home at 7 pm i usually dont see the same trash. some saturday nights bring trash that may linger, but mondays i dont work , i walk my dog and by 10 am monday morning. grounds look great.. i spend time in the gym and pool deck as much as possible, they just installed like 8 or 10 cameras at the office , pool deck and gym. i know that the surrounding communities all suffer from teens and college kids abusing the pool deck. portofino is spending money to enforce the rules and even prosecute trespassers. as far as the entrance gates. its the same everywhere. i have class mates and friends in many surrounding properties. i always piggy back thru all the gates. 3 years ago i dated a leasing agent. she explained that these gates are considerd limitied access gates. not security gates. no property can gaurantee any type of saftey. (she loved calo rossi wine, as well as telling me about her job) limited access makes sense to me..to me real security gates, are manned by a underpaid security gaurd to ask your destination and name(cory lake isles for one) so im not saying portofino is the best place in the world, but i am saying that compared to the rest of these new tampa complexes, portofino offers just a little more in the way of good walkinglocation to cvs and publix, as well as new cameras in the amenties to enforce rules and policies. the ghetto comments and section 8 comments are just absurd and mean..

for the people reading this considering moving into portofino. dont listen to the racist mean people who cant afford to buy a house. this is a good place. its not so trashed like everone says.. there no groups of people selling drugs or smoking in the hallways. take a ride thruu the complex on any night or day.. its a good place,, the cameras are all over the place. the office and maintenance guys are decent, all of these apartments have horrible ratings. all of them.. check this place out. the location behind publix and bank of america , and cvs is friccin perfect. i see people walking all the time.. just come see for your self. people are just miserable and they want you to feel the same. happy living..

First of all, I have written here before and I am never, ever late on my rent and can easily afford to live here. Before I go further, I want to clear this up and say I am not a racist; I am just a female who is sometimes made to feel intimidated by the "men" in here. There is nothing racist about me, however, when I am near the pool or walking to my car, I don't appreciate certain men staring me down. I am well aware of all the security cameras...this is for the high school and college kids that are in the pool, destroying the property at night (after hours). The "Spanish guy" as you call him, (and you are calling others here racists, right?) his name is John. He knows what he is doing and a pleasure to see in the complex. As far as calling the police, they have been called numerous times on the neighbors and nothing is done. In order to have something done by TPD, you have to indentify yourself and address. I refuse to state my name for anyone here and put myself at risk of possible retaliation for people who appear to be of a section 8 caliber; although I am told they are not. People here look and act like lowlives. Go to the pool one day and see what's there. All I know I that I had to join a private pool. I can't look at certain things, such as a bunch of tatooed lesbians making out with each other...while little kids are there as well. If you love it here so much, why don't you volunteer and clean up the dogsh*t yourself? What I do know is that I will leave here when the lease is up, I will pay a couple hundred more a month and look at people I want to look at. Also, you are obviously ------- American and still have hangups. As far as Barrack is concerned, his grandmother that died, (the one everyone made a big deal over) she was white. Buh Bye!

To the Ghetto person who is now trying to sound otherwise, if you are so well educated and employed and such a sucess as you cliam, then why are you renting in a GHETTO APARTMENT AND YOU DO NOT OWN A HOUSE? Also , like Obama ( help mama) why do you dodge the question, how many kids have to fathered ( produced, not fathered, it takes a man who be a father) out of wedlock and do you support them or are you a candidate for the Jerry Springer show. TO white stud(lol) i think of Jon Cena when i think of white stud! any how.. i didnt mean to dodge your question.. i just dismissed it cause it dosent apply. i have no kids that i know of..i was i the navy back in 99 and 00. and i met some crazy female sailors. but im sure one would of got me for child support if she was pregnant. ive worked since i was 14 , at the mcdonalds across from busch gardens. summer job of course. i started out at portofino long ago with 3 class mates. they bailed after the fist year. and i transfer to a 2/1 across from the 3/2 i started out with.. moving sucks so ive stayed here. i do work and i do recieve pell grants for school. as well as student loans for living expenses. (i guess thats why i dont mind paying rent so much.) plus my mom has been harrasing me for kids since i graduated high school. so trust me if i did have kids they would be spoiled friccin rotten. ive never had any welfare nor have i ever filed for unemployment or sued any one.. so im just really kind of an easy going passive person..what can i say. i wouldnt label my self a success, on any level. two of my nerdy friends who graduated high school in the late 90s have already graduated from usf medical school. They are the successes, not me. so i hope i have fessed up to massas questons
