Nice apartments, bad environment.....

I first looked at the place and fell in love with it, until I moved in. The people that live there are so rude and impatient. If you are blocking the road even the smallest bit with your Moving truck they rev their engines and honk their horns in frustration. One neighbor downstairs was moving in and the other tennants in the apartment actually complained that someone was moving in and blocking the road. If you move in stay off Mallard landing place, talk about the b-line expressway. People fly through there doing well over 50. Cars going through literally every 2 min. Since the complex is right next to Telcom, the population is 90% indian and the other 9% is college students and 1% everyone else. The walls are paper thin and the neighbors have no conern about them being too loud. So when you move in make sure your stereo is louder than theirs. THIS PLACE DOES NOT INCLUDE WASHER AND DRYER. Do not let the staff tell you that they do come with it, we found ou the hard way. They said it did and when we moved in, you guessed it, no washer and dryer. Only connections, the office did nothing. The gate is always broken, but dont worry they dont have enough remotes to give out anyway to open it, if you get a garage you also wont get a remote until halfway through your lease, apparently they dont have one for every apartment with a garage and they are always "expecting more to come in within a few days". If you dont have a washer and dryer, beware! This monsterous complex only has 4 washers and 4 dryers, so you get the pleasure of waiting in line to do your laundry. If you like roaches, this is the place for you!! We have come to terms with them and have given them names, the smaller ones like to live in the thermostat housing, and the larger ones under the cabinets. If you ever need anything done then you can visit the "competent" staff members. They will happily look at you with a confused look on their face and tell you the person that handles your problem is out of the office, or try to shift the responsibility to your leasing agent which is conveniently never in the office when you come in. Getting in and out of the complex is also fun, if you are making a right turn in or out of the complex you are blessed, but god be with you if you are making a left in or out of the complex. You might as well put your car in park and take a nap. They really need to put a light at the intersection, so at least some of us are gauranteed to get out in a resonable amount of time.

Also, last night which was December 6th 2006, 3 people were murdered in the building next to us. Apparently there was an argument, shots were fired and 3 people died. So if you are moving in to a building on Mallard Landing place in the next few months, you might get this one.

Good Luck, and happy moving!!
