Burglary Incidence in Preserve !

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
Its some days back, I heard about the burglary incidence in this apartment. It was in the day time at about 4 PM. One of my knowns, he was out with his family for a regular checkup at some clinic and during that one hour, someone came inside his home and stole his valuable things (Electronics stuffs and credit card and things like that ). Later on, the burglar made some transactions on the card on the same day. The day this happened, as usual , The main gate of the Preserve Apartments was not always open (24 hours) for last 4-5 days. So its no security at all ! Anybody can come inside the apartment campus, does whatever wishes.
I know that sounds really scary, but this is the fact. We are just waiting for our lease finish !
