Unfortunately I don't have one single positive fact/thing I can give you about Reflections Apartments. I moved in here October 2004 and have been nothing but disgusted with this trash hole. Here are the issues off the top of my head you need to consider before even grabbing that pen:

1) There is one dumpster for 350 units and it is just a nasty mess all of the time, overflowing, stinking like crazy and racoon infested; you are literally hesitant to dump your trash.
2) There is mold growing on the buildings, they have never power-washed them and they are so filthy; I actually took pictures.
3)This place is just flocking with people who have no respect, cranking up their music on weeknights, loud parties always, drug deals in the parking lots, parking lot hang-outs, fighting and screaming on a regular basis, oh and wait until you see the cars and motorcycles fly through here like we live on some sort of racetrack.
4)The lights in the stairwells do not work, one with the cover of the light hanging by a thread (duct tape); I always find myself wondering when it will fall. It is so dangerous to walk in pure darkness.
5)The water sprinkler system smells like a sewage system and they have so many of them going off at the same time that you literally get soaked, because they go off in the walkways and everywhere else during the day, they go in every direction, so there is no way around them. It is the worst smell- and then you end up wearing it on your clothes.
6)The appliaces here are absolute crap. Instead of fully fixing or replacing them, they make you have to keep calling them to come back and back and back; the maintenance guys speak no english so you can't even tell them whats going on.
7)The management here has changed more times than you would like to know, there is never the same people here ever, and not a single one of them, passed by or here now cares about anything going on with this place. They never even answer the phone! Try it! Call 813-884-6444 during business hours and you get an answering machine acting like you are calling after hours!
8)Reflections is just disgustingly infested with cockroaches, watch for orange tents.. you will see them often..maybe if they put their heads together and realize they need more than 1 dumpster for over 350 units, this place would seriously decrease in bug infestation. A few weeks ago, there was a snake in the stairwell!
9)Along with the non english speaking maintenance team, they also lack the common sense of knowing that 7am on weekdays is just too damn early to be blaring weed wackers and lawn mowers..some of the people living here are still home sleeping. Normal times to do this are at least 8am and on.
10)The only thing management shows any concern with is getting you to sign your lease and then after that, you are absolutely on your own - no help, no concern, and completely rude attitudes from every single one of them.
11)Someone was just shot in the parking lot here, there was actually a drive by shooting at this place recently, it is in the papers. He was talking to someone in the parking lot and an SUV drove by and shot and killed him. As I mentioned earlier, there is so much trash here (which means their trashy friends are always over)I am so afraid to stay until my lease is up.
12)Oh and speaking of parking lots, I have to park so far away from my complex every single day because there are so many cars here and no assigned spots. Picture carrying your groceries to your apartment from half a block away..

I will never ever recommend this place to anyone in my life. I regret living here and I am scared for my safety and well-being here and you should be too.

And can you actually even fathom the fact that they are raising rent for the people whose lease is almost up and sent out encouragement letters to resign your lease'

This place makes me sick! What a sorry, sad, disturbing place to be stuck in!

But I do have to give them credit for a couple of things:

there have full size washer/dryer in units which is hard to come by for the prices here

also, at least the leasing staff has the decency to not write their own reviews about this place like I see other places doing, pretending to be residents.. (which is so blatantly obvious to everyone)..

The overall point I am trying to help you understand is that you can find something much much better, especially now that rent is going up. I just found a 3 bedroom house for $780/month. Try to get a good mortgage, apartments are just not worth it these days. Even if you can't find a good house deal, this is the wrong area to be in. If you had the sense to come to see ratings on a place you are curious about, then you have the sense to know that a 0.0 overall rating, and listed problems with so few good qualities in a place is not a place to live even a portion of your life in.
