I lived here for 2 years and was happy when I first moved in. It was a huge upgrade from Coopers Pond where I'd lived before. I had a nice lake view and enjoyed using the 24 hour fitness center. They remodeled the leasing center and it looked so nice. But, they did not do anything to remodel the apartments, or fix appliances when they broke.

Then, the problems began. My dishwasher was broken for weeks, and when I called they'd say they would "take care of it". I tried to be patient, but after another week I'd call again only to get the same answer. Finally, after my persistance, the maint. man came to "fix" it. He literally opened it, looked inside, moved a few things around and said there's nothing he can do. After maybe 2 more weeks of my pestering they agreed to replace it.

***My biggest issue was the DISHONESTY. When I moved in, I was given one month free which was prorated to my monthy rent. I paid the amount agreed to for probablly 10 months. Then the staff changed (again), and I got a notice saying I owed a large amount of money. Ivy explained that I had been paying the "wrong amount" of rent since I'd moved in, so I owed them the difference. She even tried to say that I'd be evicted if I did not pay it.

I explained that I paid the prorated amount as agreed. She explained that I'd still have to pay it since it "wasn't on the lease". They tried to get me on a technicality with that one, and I learned my lesson to always get everything in writing. I refused to pay it, stating that if it truly was the wrong amount they would not have accepted it for the last 10 months. She finally agreed to drop it, but I knew I had to move after that very unprofessional and dishonest incident.

Now I live in Island Walk apartments which are more expensive, but also much nicer. All rent and maint. requests are done online and any issues are resolved within a day or two. I am very happy.

And by the way- the fact that I am still recalling my experience 3 years later speaks to how bad of an experience it actually was. I never said it was aweful, just simply explained all the things that caused me to move elsewhere.

"Fitness Center" is not 24 hours and most machines are broken.
