When I lived there, It was a nice experience at first. The place did take section 8 but I barely noticed because the place didn't seem to go bad yet. I think that the apartment manager Beverly Clifton was racist. She seemed as if she was very uncomfortable with non whites. She had a little daughter whom she'd let run all over the complex doing whatever she wanted. Beverly wasn't very nice when it came to complaints and resolving problems which I felt was very unprofessional of her. The apartments are small and they want too much money. If you got Section 8,then it should be no problem for you. My boyfriend and his friend were robbed in the parking lot as they walked to their cars. It is ungated and it's very dark in some areas. When I went to look for an apartment earlier this year of 2004, it looked as if it had gone downhill a lot. I guess that the word finally spread that RiverPlace had taken Section8. Up OH! I don't know if she's still the manager there but I honestly wouldn't live there for several reasons: Section8,ungated communtity,area not safe any more,and Beverly Clifton!

WHY DID YOU MOVE THERE?? UNGATED, SMALL, WHY NOT RENT SOMEWHERE ELSE. A RACIST? I WORKED WITH BEVERLEY FOR 4 YEARS AND I AM BLACK. I THINK NOT. I'M SURE THAT IF YOU HAVE LEFT YOUR NAME WE WOULD BE ABLE TO REMEMBER WHO YOU WERE AND I'M SURE THIS WOULD BE IN RETALIATION. BEVERLEY WORKED THERE UNTIL 2006 AND MOVED ON.
