Wow. i remember this place as Cimarron, the dump that only people with low incomes live in. When i was literally being pushed out of this house i rented, i had nowhere else to go, i chose Royal Oaks because at the time, i had assumed since they had changed the name, changed the overall "decor" of the exterior that they might have done something with the management and since they were the only apartment complex at the time that was in my price range AND had availability, i gave it a shot. WHAT A MISTAKE. The apartment that the salewoman showed me was a seller. Beautiful, fresh carpet, clean white bright walls, beautiful cabintry, etc, etc. But as soon as i was given my keys, i walked into that dump that i was supposed to live in for a whole year..i felt like i just signed my life away. i was beautifully located right below a family of 27. A mexican family who just LOVED to play basketball at all hours of the night...and not only that but also spent the early morning hours having WILD LOUD SEX RIGHT ABOVE ME. the location of the apartment couldnt be worse, with the lack of lighting, ghetto streetwalkers and such. I dont know if i was imagining things, but i swear to god i thought i heard gunshots from my bedroom. Everytime i walked into my bathroom or kitchen i was greeted by my roomates..COCKROACHES. they were everywhere. it got to the point where i never cooked or ate anything in that aprtment. i couldnt wait to leave. to be honest, i never really fully unpacked when i moved in because i had no intention of staying long. the carpet was dirty and never replaced before i moved. ive called maintenance a million times about the moldy smell in my apartment but never really did anything. i had a dishwasher but it never worked. not like it mattered i had no appetite to eat there because of the pest problem. the neighbors across the hall were obviously drug dealers. i didnt feel safe there. i didnt even sleep there the last two months of my lease because i was halfway moved out and ready to go somewhere else.
Everytime i drive by i notice how it look nice from the outside but as soon as you pull into the actual property is where its different..they make the sales office nice and pretty but its a stark contrast to what their selling. i hope they seriously clean up their act or rebuild something nicer on this property. You are so right. i live there myself and my lease is up on december . i'am so ready to move out. my apartment is falling apart. i have roaches, spiders ect, ect... i pay my rent late all the time because i only call maintenance 10 times per day and never show up so then i pay my rent late and they are always on time to knock on my door to tell me my rent is late but to fix things they take for ever. i agree 100 % with with the person above me. they should destroy these apartments and rebuild them THEY ARE FALLING APART!
