I've been a resident of Whispering Oaks Condos (formerly Sailwinds at Lake Magdelene) for two years. It is a gated community on Lake Magdelene. I always feel safe. My neighbors are very quiet, and the landscape is beautiful. We have a really nice pool, gym, and free boat access.
The buidlings are a little older, but new construction is cheap and noisy. I've never called a plumber so I don't know what the other reviewer means. I do know that all the toilets and shower heads were replaced with energy/water saving equipment.
Plus my unit has new crown molding, tile, and a brand new kitchen.
I think anyone would like living here.

Haha wow another STAFF-WRITTEN-REVIEW ladies and gentleman. I laugh at them seriously. They should rename it to Whispering RATS Condos because that's what it is. That place is full of rats. STAY AWAY from there. DO NOT deal with them. You'll regret it. By the way I lived the from 1999 to 2004 so I know what I'm talking about. It's a HORRIBLE place to live in!

Wow. Obviously written by a staff member. Stay away. This place is horrible. Maintenance is laughable and the staff are never very helpful. I live here for 3 years and was so glad when I finally moved.

I have to agree this place is a rat hole.The new management can careless about us residents.They never have a full staff the office help is very rude and can never get a workorder right.When they do have a good worker they quit or are let go now we have this maintenance supervisor that is rude and does nothing.We had a ceiling fall in and it took them over a week to get it fixed,can you emagine your ceiling falling in.The water is always being turned off for what ever reason.They seriously need a new supervisor and new Mangager including that fat thing that sits in that back room. Stay away from this place you will never be happy.

This is obviously a staff review. It's actually somewhat funny reading it considering how warm and fluffy of a review it is. What you have here are nearly 40 year old apartments and every time a new owner buys it - they end up selling it. This place has changed hands 5 times in 10 years. I've lived there twice - once in 1989 as a teen and in 2000-01 as an adult. The management in charge the last time I was there was horrible. I assume they have new management in there now. The buildings are so old and have been so poorly maintained that it is nearly impossible for them to keep up with all of the maintenance. Instead of hiring a team of quality maintenance people - they hire the people that couldn't get a job anywhere else and they pay them next to nothing. PLEASE - for your own sake - do not move in here!
