I lived at St. Andrews square and was a quiet tenant who paid her rents on time. Although I did not prefer a month-to-month lease, this was all the owner was offering since he intended to sell the property. Thus the lease required I give a 30 day notice if I wanted to move. I did. Out of the blue the property manager quit and no one maintained the premises for over 3 months. My tenants on both sides of my unit began misbehaving, even having the police called on them. I gave notice in writing to vacant on 2/28 along with my rent. I cleaned the apartment better than when I took residency. The proof is when they rented my unit six days after I left although they had 10 other vacant units. Although the new manager (who finally arrived on scene) told me she would mail me my full deposits on Monday (2 days after I moved), she lied. I eventually (3 weeks) later got partial deposits returned citing I had given short notice, which wasn't legally true. I should mentioned she begged me to stay saying she had too many vacant units. She even offered to reduce my rents. As allowed by the law, I responded to St. Andrews claim in challenge. I returned the partial check and certified mail them. Since then, none of my calls are being returned and they are ILLEGALLY holding my monies. But I will not sit quiet by any means. Landlords and rentals such as this should not be allowed to mistreat or cheat their tenants. DO NOT MOVE INTO SUCH A PLACE!!! x-2PE3sjUIIeetAHoKOk
