I lived here for one year from May 2002 to 2003. The manager was very nice throughout the majority of our stay here, but when the office was closed for New Year's, he tried to charge me a $25 late fee because I didn't come up to turn in my check before 10:30 am. on the 2nd. I got there at 11:00. I refused to pay the late charge and he never really talked to us after that. Our air conditioning unit and the shower leaked into the carpet and molded, causing a disgusting odor. When the maintenance came to fix it, he only vaccummed the air conditioning unit and caulked the bathroom. They never offered to help me clean my clothes (the air conditioner is in my closet in the ceiling) that were soaking wet or replace the carpet. I actually started to get sick and missed almost 2 weeks of work due to a mold related sinus irritation that turned into a serious cold.

Now, the safety issues. Our car was tampered and broken into three times. Once gas was actually taken out of our car, our driver's side window was busted out for apparently no reason (nothing was taken out of the car), and another time someone slashed one of our tires (the repair guy said it was a clean punture looked like a screwdriver.) My husband was home lying on the couch, when he saw a shadow less than 10 feet from him on our porch. A young guy cut the chain and stole my bike taking off in a van. My husband followed him across the street to the other complex (where he lived) and confronted him. The guy gave my bike back, and his excuse was he wanted some money.

Overall I would not recommend living here. You can find a place of equal price, but a safer neighborhood.
