Last year, my rent went up 65 dollars and I was able to negotiate it down 10 dollars. So several long-term residents moved and they started these huge discounts and free rent to get people in. Boy, I have had both the Sheriff's department and Department of Children and Families out to my apartment to question me about a few residents. My building has been a revolving door since the Rent Hike/then free rent. Additionally, they just started charging fees just like"Hey you've got to start paying this now-too bad." They don't care that it's outside the lease contract. When I went to talk to management about it - they just said that's the way it is!
