I am moving in this apt community. The apartments are older and it is older looking inside but the upgrades to the community in the future should help. They are planning on painting the buildings soon, and adding a playground for the kids soon. I have high hopes for the community. If they do all they say they will it will be wonderful. The staff there are very, very nice people. I hope it's not all hype but so far I will be a very proud tenant here. The new carpet is nice and the new appliances, new lights and sconces on the walls, in bathrooms. They are doing a very good job of updating these older units. The walls are in good condition. This is a very large townhome for the price and it is a very good neighborhood for shopping and finding good food to eat nearby. I hope I have nothing bad to say about this place ever. I have only a one year lease and will keep everyone updated.

I'm sorry, dear, but are you on crack? If I had known that this forum existed for San Marin before I moved in, I would never have moved in in the first place. You haven't lived there yet. You just wait until after you move in and see how nice they are after that. I thought that our apartment was wonderful for the price, too, for the first few months. After that, it was a nightmare from hell! Jeez, you can do so much better than that crack shack. I hope that the meth labs don't get you blown up before you can leave. I also hope that your car/stereo/tires don't get stolen, either. Or that if you are robbed or raped outside one night, that someone actually helps you or that the police show up when you call to report it. I also hope that you don't have any children. You're a braver person than I was to stay in that god-forsaken place. Then again, Tampa is getting pretty bad all over, not just at San Marin.

Wow, I don't think this person is on drugs,LOL. I think this is a person who works for the company trying to get their ratings back up. They been saying they was going to fix, paint and add more amenities since 2004. Since 2004, get the picture! There was a lot of Property Managers being switched every 6 months there when I lived their.
When the place is completely empty from residents, roaches, rats, drug dealers, etc., and renovated completely, and residents are background checked for the past 7 to 10 years, and the security gate is actually working, with a 24 hour security guard or cameras, then it would be actually called a nice safe clean place to live.
So I am not sold on your what you seen, or what you was told mumbo jumbo. Seeing is believing!

I live here now and the maintenence men have been doing anything I ask to the smallest detail. I have met CSI security and have their card. I am not someone who works here and I like it. My apartment doesn't have bugs or rats, I don't like the outside of the buildings they look bad but should be painted soon, if not they will hear from code inforcement and I know who to call. The last complex lied and told everyone the gates worked the spa worked and nothing in a year. I finally took them to court and won. I had the city involved because I do what I say. I get involved. They are now required to take courses in how to deal with the handicapped and get certified, boy thats gonna cost the company money. I don't do drugs and have always been involved in my neighborhood, I was in security before as my husband has so we know how to do a neighborhood watch, and we will. We will call security when we see something going down. Office staff live on-site. That is important. They are evicting people out who are trouble as we speak. I moved in to help and I will make this a safe place to live. I will make sure things are up to code. One building was totally trashed by tenants who were nasty. Things will get better here and gate or no gate doesn't matter, who lives there does. I am hoping to have meetings to get tenants together who care about how we live. I have a nice townhouse and for the price I will not complain. I have lived in worse and paid alot more for less.
