I have lived here for 6 months now, and my roommate has been here for 3 years.
It's not bad for the rent, but there is a serious bug problem. There are constantly roaches in our kitchen, dining room and bedrooms. It's pretty disgusting.
The noise is pretty bad, because the basketball court is right in the middle of all the apartments. Neighbors play music loudly, and there are kids running up and down the halls and screaming all the time. But I recognize that noise is a problem at any complex. However, the basketball court is a big problem for me as it is literally outside my bedroom window.
There is a pretty bad mold problem, and I feel like I'm getting sick from it. Mold is growing in my bathroom and on the sliding glass door.
There was recently a problem below us with water leaking into their apartment, so maintenance came to fix it. Except they didn't notify me that they were coming or that they had been there. I just came home to find my stuff was moved everywhere. When I asked at the office, they said they weren't required to give notice because it was an emergency. By all means, I'm fine with fixing the problem, but at least notify me that you were in my apartment and why!
I really love my room. Spacious and with the balcony and sliding glass doors it has a lot of natural sunlight. I love having the balcony attached to my room, and it is a really nice sized balcony. The bathroom is very small, and in the master bathroom there is no tub, only a shower stall, which I don't mind, but may be a problem for others.
Parking is never a problem, there are always spaces available all day, every day.
It is extremely close to campus, only 15-20 minutes walk to the part of campus I need to be on a daily basis, and there is no crossing busy roads if you use the crosswalk.
Overall, it's an okay place to live, but I'm checking out other places for next year. I will be sad to give up my balcony room though! gkZ41df9CgXQPfm8K2A7
