Terrace Pointe sucks on so many levels. When we first moved in, the office staff seemed nice and friendly and we loved the location (right across the street from USF and around the corner from the grocery and my work, etc.). But since then, we have had too many problems, and I can't wait to move out in a month and a half!

The parking lot near our building slopes downward in one spot, so whenever it rains, 3 of the spots get flooded with water about 5" deep. There is no security patrolling the parking lots at all, and cars are broken into all the time. I myself have had my car stereo stolen.

All the neighbors we have ever had are totally loud and obnoxious. You can hear music, arguing, scolding, screaming, and bedsprings squeaking -- then again, maybe the people aren't that loud; it's just that the walls and ceiling are paper-thin! This is definitely not the place for anyone who needs quiet to get work done.

There is no real attempt at landscaping in our section of the complex. There is no grass; just weeds and dirt. Yet every so often, a guy goes around with a super-noisy weed-whacker or something as if he is doing something to make the place look better, but I never see any difference. There used to be a big problem with people not picking up after their dogs. We had to complain so much until finally the management put notes on everyone's door. That did help it a little.

This place is not safe...I have already mentioned the car break-ins, but we have also had our window smashed in the middle of the night as someone tried to break in. Our next-door neighbors have had their window smashed more than once, and in fact, their window is STILL broken, more than 2 months later.

I can understand that we are living in a very old building, but that is no excuse for the management to allow the place to fall apart. The screen keeps coming off our window, the water is always shutting off, and our air conditioner leaks. Do they do anything to fix the problems' No, it's always just another quick, temporary solution. Unless you live near the office...those buildings are taken care of. But even there, there is a lot of crime.

Sorry...I could go on forever about this place, obviously. Just don't live here! It's not worth the trouble!

Your opinion, If this place was truly renovated and fixed nice, would this change your mind about staying or is it just a bad neighborhood all together? Your opinion is greatly appreciated.
