Can't wait to get out

Firstly, the 24 hour business center - is now open during business hours only and was closed for 3.5 months with the excuse that they were waiting for a wallpaper border for the walls. There was also, as a result, no laundry facilities for a few months as the machine for adding money to laundry cards was in the then defunct business center.
Maintenance - Here's my experience - we called them out to fix a loose shelf. We're then told it's ok. A week later I get showered in broken glass after the shelf fell on me. Tried discussing this with the business center and still have yet to receive a reply (this happened in June and it's now the end of October). Chosen never to use maintenance again. Oh, also the maintenace guy told me the "place was thrown up too quickly" with reference to the poor state of the community.
Security - The "security" gates are usually wide open, and if they're closed you won't get in anyway, with or without your card.
Parking - not enough spaces (supposed to be 2 cars per apartment - more like 1) no control over trailers or commercial vehicles, visitor parking, and due to the lack of security - cars racing round at night.
Bug Control - There isn't any!
Resident relations or events - Been here for 6 months and... nothing!
Noise - Walls are paper thin and every Wednesday you'll rise at 6am or earlier to the sound of the grounds people and their grass strimmers.
Office - Ignorant and obviously just there to get people into the community, not look after them after they move in.
In a word - BAD.

Do you even live at this property??? The business center has NEVER been closed- they were repairing the door and you could've gone around through the office to enter. The laundry machine was moved to a different area in the hallway by the gym, it took about a week for the company to bring the new machine.
The Sanctuary doesn't have shelves in the bathrooms, just a cabinet- so apparently it's your shelf that you put up yourself- they don't have glass shelves in our bathrms. If you were so disgruntled with the "shelf" incident, why didn't you notify the manager and speak with her directly?
As for the gates, they are currently putting up brand new gates in place. If certain residents wouldn't tailgate and break the rules, the gates wouldn't continually break. Now, the gate system will have a system in place so people cannot tailgate.
Parking has never been an issue- they have open spaces, garages and covered parking. Trailers, etc are towed within 24 hours.
Bug control.... they have free pest control every week, plus they spray the grounds.. not sure where that's coming from.
As for resident parties- we just had a pool party in July, a purse party in Aug, a candle party in Sept and a Halloween party coming up this month... so, apparently, you don't read your monthly newsletter.
Noise- they have a courtesy officer that's available every night if you have noise issues. The grounds people don't start until 8 am- still not sure what property you're really living in???
As for the office staff, I am one of them and proud to work here. I have always been open to any issue a resident has. In my opinion, most of the complaints are from residents that either have been evicted or are problem residents themselves. Maybe even a past disgruntled employee... So, give Sanctuary a look and judge for yourself.

I live here at the community and over the past 6 months there have been lots of changes. I am excited about the new gate system. The basketball court has never looked better. The maintenance people have always fixed things pretty much as soon as I call in the work report. The business center has never been 24 hours that I know of. As for resident events? I have attend a pool party, candle decoration party, my family had our photos taken (with a free 8x10 photo I might add) a purse party and there was a flyer sent out in the monthly newsletter about the upcoming halloween party. How many more functions can these people throw to make others happy? The office staff is alwasy nice and helpful. I just think if people want to complain anonymously, then they should keep their complaints to themselves. I think this place is great and would highly recommend it to others.

My favorite part about this community is when I get off work at 11pm at night and when I get to the entrance there is a car waiting to follow my into my apartment complex every night. And the new gates do not keep tailgaters out, it just increases a 22 year old girl's chances of being followed to her apartment at 11:15 at night. I also loved that when they took away the all-access code to the gate without notifying the tenants and I tried to dial myself in after losing my gate-pass at the car wash that day, it went straight to the voice mail of my old phone number after giving the front office my new number several months prior. Nothing like being locked out of your own apartment complex at night.
