Oh how things can change!

I moved into this apartment in September of 2004. Oh how great it was. I LOVED the place. The staff was great, maintenance would be at your door within 24 hours of the request (most of the time in just a few hours). Just overall a very good experience.
Thheeeennn we were sold. Twice in a few months to be exact. Now, you're lucky if you can get maintenance to show up at all. Perks of living here are going away fast. Just the other day I sent in a maintenance request to get a light replaced (we have track lights in the apartment), apparently they don't replace them anymore because it's "Too expensive". Hmmm, thought that was called RENT!
Also about the Water Bill, (and please, any other resident posting after me can back me up). All of a sudden we are paying a $6 fee for "community water". No one in the office can explain to me what "community water" is. Also, our valet trash went up by $9. Keep in mind that our trash and water bill comes together. My water only last month was $3.74. My total bill after everything was $33. I can get my lazy butt up and take my trash down to the dumbster for that extra $30.
If you still want to come and check this place out, just go see Eleanor at the Office. She will make you want to scream. Actually, I take that back. If you are here looking she is great, yet after you're a resident you're trash. I had an issue with my access code for the gates. It took them 3 MONTHS to update a phone number in the system. I had been very patient but by the third month I was irate. Eleanor was a help. A help in telling me (mind you I was deep red in the face and I am white boy)that I wasn't the only resident here and other people were needing help to. For you all who have worked in the Customer Service Industry. . .isn't that the last thing you are told to say on the first day of training'!!
I will give them this, for the money the apartment itself isn't bad. It is in a "shady" part of a street. And I love the fact that I past a strip joint on my way to work everyday just down the road. But it is a nice looking apartment. The ceilings are high so it seems bigger than it is and the utility closet is big enough to stack about 25 bodies in (don't ask how I know that). Yet, I still have nightmares about Eleanor. I know I can't get rid of them until I get out of here which I will be doing when my lease is up.
