New management making Apt go Downhill

I have lived at this apartment complex since March 2008. When I moved in I felt lucky to be living in this gated community with nice pools and generally nice apartment. The neighbors are only friendly in passing and I rarely saw them. The staff at the front weren't rude but didn't make an effort to know me either.

However, now that the management has changed I have seen the service here and the quality of renters go completely downhill. It all started when I resigned the lease this past March and the new manager treated me and the new girl on our 3 person lease like we were trash. She still refers to our apartment as if only one person lives here. Even though I've been in this apartment over a year and another roommate for over 2, they also didn't offer us any discounts or cleaning service or new carpet this time we signed the lease either.

In the past few months several suspect renters have moved into my building as well. There as several people in and out of the apartment next to mine on a daily basis and they leave their trash and cigarette butts everywhere, including on, in and around my valet trash box and up and down the stairs to my apartment. There has also been an increase of trash in the parking lot. Not to mention, the massive amount of Marijuana I can smell coming from their apartment when they open their door or when I walk past their screened porch.

Before all of this occurred, I was so excited to graduate college and get a job so I could move into my own apartment in this complex. Now, I just can't wait until my lease is up so I can move away from this wretched place. Every time I see employees showing potential tenants the apartments I feel like I should warn them that they will not be appreciated and valued even though they are spending well over $1,000 to live here.

Update*****
My lease is up! I finally moved out! I'M SO HAPPY TO BE OUT OF THERE!!! The best part about my moving out experience: I no longer have to deal with the retarded gates! They've been broken, again, for weeks. They've been left open all day and night. Then, suddenly they were fixed! This would have been great except for that fact that now half of the tenants' gate keys no longer worked. The weird part is that the office staff knew they didn't work and would sometimes stand outside and beep people threw with their remote keys, but then later in the night, if you came home, you'd find people sitting at the gates swiping their keys...but nothing.

What's even more aggravating: my name and number no longer appear in the guest access computer....coincidence' I think not. SO NOW I cannot even call myself to let myself into my apartment complex. At the same time, somehow, my roommate (that they like) just so happens to still appear in the computer. Weird!.....Not!!!!

Fortunately, there are several extremely nice people who live in this complex who had keys that still worked and would let several people through the gates at one time because they knew that the gate was now selectively letting tenants in.

PEACE OUT WORST COMPLEX EVER!!!!!

first off Anonymous, you're an idiot. Yes, you should expect management to be friendly. You even mentioned that in your comment, that they are friendly with you. They are not always friendly. This place blows. This complex is nothing but glorified 3 story trailer park. It's very ghetto.

You all need to grow up. Alternajock, it seems like you have so much anger in side, sorry for family. Live life, be happy, God is love. You've been responding on this site from 2007. OMG get a life. Must love this 3 story trailer park. Go live in the getto and then compare the two. May God bless you.

Wow! This last Anonymous from 07/12/09 must be a member of the office staff. This place has really gone down hill over the past year. There is more trash on the property than before and you are right LizabethVirginia, they should be nice to you. The only time they are nice is when they are trying to actually get you to rent here. After you sign that dotted line, they could care less about you and your needs. I have been here for about 5 months now and I wish every day that my lease was ending in 6 months vs. 12 months. I would be curious to know what the owners had to say when you spoke with them. I think what this complex fails to realize is we can choose any complex we want to live at and that they should be happy and grateful that we have chosen to live here. Instead, they act like they are doing us a favor by letting us live here. Wrong attitude if you ask me. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Simply because there is no customer service. Sorry Sanctuary. But you really need to step up your game.

Hey Elizabeth! I use to work and live at The Sanctuary. If I remember correctly, you were rude to the whole office staff from the beginning and we did nothing but express a high level of friendly customer service.. as always. I remember when you came into the office to resign the lease. It was not the office staff that treated you like trash .. it was more like the other way around. You weren't so pleasent. I am sorry to hear that you are so unhappy, maybe you should consider expressing your concerns to the office staff prior to posting a rude rating.

I forgot to mention that 2 days ago a "friend" of my neighbor's banged on their door for over two hours. If he was a friend he probably just thought they were passed out from all of their extracurricular activities. Did I mention one of my neighbor's throwing up in the bushes around 11 am on a Sunday morning? Concerned, I asked if this dreadlocked boy was okay? He casually mentioned that he was just hung over. How sweet to come home to at this lovely establishment.
