When I first moved in, I was kind of scared. I saw a bunch of weirdos walking around, staring very awkwardly at me. It was a very uncomfortable feeling. You have people hanging outside during all hours of the night using drugs. Prostitutes really do live around there, I've had a couple live around my apt. If anything I kept to myself, that's what you would have to do to stay out of trouble, but I often felt scared.
As I was sleeping one night, keep in mind it was about 2-3 am in the morning, Iwoke up to the sound of someone forcefully pushing on my door. Than I heard a key being used. Even though i was scared for my life, I forced myself to peer through the peep hole. I saw a fat black drunk, holding his alcohol in one hand and the key in the other. He was going at it for 10 minutes. Luckily I changed my locks when I firsted moved in. Who knows if this monster actually got a hold of the original key that the apt. complex assigned. I can only assume.
Neighbors were also very nosy. They would watch your every move when coming outside the door. I often had neighbors asking for money. If anything I found myself in a few uncompromising situations. I can actually go on, but I won't. It's not a healthy place to live, I'm actually lucky that I made it out alive.
Another thing- at one point the staff members were great, but that's all changed after management switched. The manager _Sheehan_ was a complete ----- to me. She was very unfair. I don't recommend this ---- hole, the whole package sucks.

This Sheehan is probably the lady my lady friend talked to today. My friend is moving from CA to FL and called this apt and was to send a $199 "Administrative fee". Then on top of that the $35 application fee. This "administrative fee" is outright illegal as far as I can tell. It's not a deposit she said. It's a hold while a credit check is done and you don't get it back if your report was good but you do if it isn't and with some other wierd conditions. My lady friend who recently came the U.S. and obviously has a thich accent was lost in all the fishy explanations. Just from the start, this place is very strange.I work for a real estate services company and I'm interested in learning more about this $199 fee that she's swindling from people so I can get her charged with unfair housing practices. If you know about it, I'd sure like to know more.

Unfortunately those fees are not illegal, supposedly those are the ees they are charging to do the background check, some places will put a certain amount of the admn fee toward the deposit but some places dont.Whenever I have checked into a apt and they charge a admn fee and deposit I always decline cause thats outrageous.

Background check my ass!They don't do background checks here!They rent to drug dealers,drug addicts,hookers..pedifiles.and so on and so on and so on!They let anyone in here..don't move in here if you are a single young college student or anyone decent for that matter!I know times are tough.but your life is at risk!Management sucks!
