Don't Move Here!!!

At first glance this seems like a very nice apartment complex. It isn't until after you move in that you realize how bad it is. The grounds are pretty nice, even though residents insist on letting their dogs poop right in front of the apartments and refuse to pick it up. The management is really friendly, but I don't think they care about their tenants. We moved in in January, and the first time we tried to turn on out heat it seemed like a rotting animal. After repeated complaints the management never fixed the problem; we are about to move out and we still can't use the heat because it smells sooooo bad. Another reviewer mentioned the pool being closed all summer and they were right. In late march the hot tub quit working and was never fixed. Then they drained the pool, and left it empty for MONTHS. They reopened the pool sometime in late September. They left the hot tub broken, (even though we complained once every two weeks the entire time)and did not fix it until late November. Then yesterday I went to (finally) enjoy the hot tub...and the light fixture in the bottom of the hot tub was floating on the top of the water with wires hanging out everywhere. It looked like you could have been electrocuted if you had touched the water.
The residents in the apartment complex are some of the trashiest people I have ever seen, especially considering how nice the complex looks. People constantly have their windows open and are yelling at each other. I felt like I was living in Brooklyn. Not only do they yelling, but they are usually yelling at their children saying things like "You're so stupid" or "What the *$^*#( is wrong with you!!!" I could go on but I won't.
From my understanding they had just gotten new management when we moved in almost a year ago, and kept talking about all the improvements they were going to make. The only improvement I have seen is that they renovated the office. The office looks amazing...it is to bad they couldn't have used that money to fix something that matters to the residents.
Also, when we moved in they told us that we could use a web form from their website to hook-up our electric service. We used the form and got a confirmation e-mail, but our electric service was never put in our name. A month after we moved in, we got a notice from the office saying that we were in violation of our rent and owed them for the electric service for that month. We of course paid for the service, but wasn't the service put in our name to begin with. If they say they are going to do something they should do it. I'm pretty sure they are still telling people to go to the website to hook up their electricity, watch out...they will try to evict you for something they said they were going to do and didn't.
The security gate is always broken and unsupervised children run rampant after school. I have had children literally HIT my car with their hand as I was driving in the parking lot, and I have seen children ride their bikes around the pool, hit and break signs with their bicycles, and generally just be BAD!
I have never seen so many unsupervised children in my life!
Overall, this complex is horrible. I would never live here again...and I've lived in some pretty crappy places.
One more thing, the traffic on Bruce B. Downs Blvd (the road the complex is on) is horrible, it takes 10 minutes to pull out from the complex. They give you a barcode so you can use the red light that is associated with the "planned community" which the complex is a part of, but it takes longer to go through the gate and drive to the red light, then wait for the light to turn green, than it does to just wait for all the traffic to clear in the exit directly in front of the complex.
DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!
