Hello,
I am considering moving to West Park in the next couple of months, and I am a little concerned after having read some of theses reviews. What drew me to the area was the charming location and friendly residents. Each time I ve been on site I ve began conversations with both residents of West Park as well as neighbors who own town homes in the area and everyone seems so wonderful! It seems like a great place for young professionals who enjoy a quiet all-American lifestyle. However these reviews are a little harsh. I have noticed that the office staff is very reluctant to go out of their way to help me out. I ve called several times to ask different questions and have always been instructed to call back and speak to my leasing agent. However there was one person that did go out of her way to answer my questions although she was not my leasing agent.
I am not too concerned about the issues I have read about the pool or parking. I think it s great that there is a guard on site that ensures that only the residents have access to the pool and that minors are accompanied by parents, and I plan on moving into a town home with a garage.
My main concerns are the issues I have read regarding the office staff, maintenance, and noise. Is the office staff really so rude' And has anyone tried speaking to a manager regarding this' I have a zero tolerance for people that are snooty and think they are above others and hope that if this is the case residents would make it a point to file complaints and even call corporate until something is done about their attitudes. Also, as far as maintenance goes, what is the general time frame for having an issue resolved and what type of issues generally arise' I read a review where the resident moving in said the town home was not move in ready and the holes in the wall were not sealed properly. Did anyone else come across this' And lastly, in the town homes can you hear your neighbors'
Any input you may have before I make my decision would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
Possible future resident

I have lived here for 3 years and i think it is greta..I have never had a issue with anyone in the office. The girls are always willing to help, and maintenance is great. I do not hear my neighbors, the townhomes atleast that is what I live in. You would love it here!!!

Service just REALLY sucks. The office staff are "ding-dongs". THey don't show any empathy when you have a problem and they are snooty. They think that there just is to just basically look good. However there was a black lady there. Don't know if she is still there, but she was great!
An entire top cabinet door fell on my 5 year old daughters head and the manager didn't give a hoot. I forgot to mention that when I first moved in, the place was not very clean. It hadn't been cleaned for months since the last person moved out, and it had dust all over. I wouldn't move there if I were you. Oooh. And if you dislike snakes, you are sure to have more than a few heart attacks there because there are A LOT of snakes in that area. I don't know why. This is nobody's fault though.

The office staff thinks exactly that, that they are above everybody. I am a young student and it's as if they think my mommy and daddy are paying for everything for me, when really I work 2 jobs just so I can afford to live in a nice area. There are a lot of pro's to the area, the pool is nice, bars are just a couple steps away, neighbors are friendly, and there is always something fun going on. Just be prepared to deal with really snotty people. Also make sure you make a list with what was wrong with the apt when you move in, so that they don't try to charge you for something you didn't do. Our fridge has a huge dent in it, our built in desk is cracked in half, and our blinds don't close, but we made a list of everything. Noise isn't terrible, if someone is standing right outside my door I can hear everything they are saying but other than that I never hear my neighbors or anything. I like it but I do have to say that the office staff is very rude and very shady, watch your back.

I posted a review recently, basically addressing the issues you mention. The office staff would be the biggest complaint you'll hear from most people. It's just laziness, and it's all over Florida not just here. If you move in here, just be prepared to have to deal with office staff who aren't able to do a very good or efficient job.
If you call a few times or catch an office staff member in a time when they actually follow through with maintenance work, it typically takes a day to 3 days to get a problem taken care of. I don't know how long it takes an "emergency" maintenance problem taken care of...I've never had one. The build quality of the place is OK. Nothing great.
I can hear my neighbors when they play music really loud (not very often) or running up and down their stairs, but the noise I hear isn't ridiculous or anything.

do NOT move here!!!!!!! the staff is absolutely horrible, rude, and disrespectful! Not to mention they can't do their job either. My roomate and I got screwed over by them beause we went to end our lease and we filed our paperwork but the employee in the office lost it so it never got filed so we had to pay an extra month's rent because they can't even do their job! DO NOT LIVE HERE YOU WILL BE SORRY!
