Extremely bad management company

In September of 2004, West Park Village was holding a promotion for renters, that if you did not like the place in the first 30 days, you could could move out and get your deposit back, as long as you moved out before the 30 days where over. I gave them my notice in writing on the 25th day and moved out. The reason I moved out is because you can hear your neighboors on both sides doing everything. The construction is so poor that you can hear the phones ring, television, music, conversations, dogs barking, etc. etc.
Two weeks later I received the deposit check back from them, just like the promotion stated. About 6 weeks later, a new management company contacted me and stated that they wanted the money back. I faxed my documented proof over to them to show them that it clearly stated the refund, and that I had already deposited the check. Nevertheless, they continued to harass me and after a few months send me to a collection agency. I have reported them to the Federal Trade Commission as well the Florida Deparment of Financial Services. Because of their incompetence I am now retaining an attorney to handle the situation, as West Park Village is ruining my credit score.
