When I moved in we were promised that everthing was being updated in our apartment. WELL nothing was updated. It wasn't even cleaned. When I told the office they said where having a problem with the cleaning people, I asked about the updated items. They said were are updating some apartments but mine was not one of them. I complained about the painting how blotchy it looked and they said that was my opion.
I complained that other vehicles have blocke my car in and I could not leave for work on time. Theys told me parking is a problem and maybe I should park on the road so I can leave on time for work. I reminded them that I have 2 parking spots and there being used by someone other then me. They told me to tell the neighbors not to park there or they will be ticketed than towed after 3 times.

The apartments are old and the wood is rotted. The yards are dirt and sand. But they will say it's nice. Visit the office and model than asked to see the apartment that they assign you too. I'll bet it's not like the model or office area BUT DON"T SIGN ANYTHING WITHOUT SEEING IT FIRST.
Oh here's another pointer. Your move in sheet that they give you is PRE FILLED OUT for your conveince stating everything is nice and cleaned. They say this saves you time from doing all the paperwork. But if you complain they got you. Because you sign the paper saying everthing is ok.

The bottom line is GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. This place is a fricken joke. I can't wait to leave.

It works both ways, When a landlord or slumlord doesn't won't to fix item due to ware and tare. You send your second and third complaint certified mail, keep copies of all notices/letters you and the office send to each other, and that third letter should indicate holding of next months rent. When you receive eviction paper there is a case number on top of the document...that's your time to strike back. The court will open an escrow account where you pay all rent too and while you are waiting for court dates an haveing midations the landlord losses money and you still have a roof over your head. Now it will be your decission on wither or not to move and in most cases the apartment is fix or the money in the escrow is refunded back to you if you chose to move.(make sure all is normal for this to go your way.)
1. verbal request(wait 7 days)
2. first letter to office remind about first request(wait 5 days)
3.Send certiy letter with list of items needing fix and withholding of rent if items are not done.
4.Hold rent wait for eviction with case number.
(there are other option on the notice you chose)

If you signed a pre-filled out check in sheet then you are a jackass and you get what you deserve!

thelinkssucksass can you read? No one said they signed the paper. They said don't sign any prefilled paperwork out.
