I moved into wildwood May 1st 2006. I moved from the east coast of florida near Nasa. now onto all the problems and why you shouldnt live in this dreaded place. When we originally rented here we were told there were no open units on the day we decided to rent so they showed us a model you know the one right next door to the office that is well decorated and of course has no signs of wear and tear.... anyway they ASSURED us that our unit would look identical and would have a washer dryer hookup.. well on may 1st 2006 we get to do our walkthrough and find guess what No w/d hookup... ok so a unit came open in a month and we were able to move a block away... but wait they give no credit to us for having to rent a second moving truck'.. THEY SAY THEY WILL PAY OUR WATER BILL FOR 3 MONTHS BUT AFTER A MONTH THE WATER COMPANY THREATENS TO CUT US OFF IF WE DONT PAY OFFICE SAYS PAY THEM AND YOULL BE OK... DID THEY LIE' on top of that we had to swith all utlilties and becuase we didnt have our initial service in tampa for more than a year had to pay all deposits again and lose the first.. Now the problem with APT #1 at 13403 joan dr. the "sewer" which is astually a septic tank in the back yard.. it backed up into the apt and all over the backyard. we called on a monday afternoon to get it fixed or pumped on tuesday i returned home from work. i notcied some dirt in the back yard was thrown over the hole in which human waste was coming but nothing was done to fix our problem called 5 more times. nothing ever done we had to shower at my inlaws house untill we moved to apt 2 at 5912 marta dr. we get into our new apt first week problems were the apt was never really cleaned they must get White paint cheap someplac around town they paint everything from ceiling to walls to light switches and outlets to bathtub and sink.. week 2 refridgerator stopped working we lost all our frozen food and food in fridge. called and it took several days for them to come " try" and fix it and eventually get a new one. but this was a friday and noone could install it untill monday... wait just drop it off at my front door i'll install it... but now had to wait an entire weekend to see it installed.. a few months pass and no MAJOR issues then our apt was broken into by i m almost 100% sure my neighbor across the street who was evicted. they mngmt acted worried but just becuase a window was broken out during robbery.. 2 days to fix the window in the bathroom that was broken, and shouldnt a shower window be frosted their answer to that spray frost.. that is very spotty........our dishwasher baegan leaking a few months later.. called the mngmt again they call maint. 3 weeks untill they decide to come out they say its the seal well have to order one. ok then do it. 2 more weeks pass we call again about the seal.. oh that maint man was fired they say. So we tell them great my dishwash still isnt working what are we going to do 45min later the managers son shows up and says well have to order a new unit. ok fine get it done a few days go by and we call to check status. by this time the wife is furious.. no one cares, we call the maint manager ( sarahs slayers- property mngers son-- did i mention this place is a family run outfit) my wife forced the guy to come out at 10:30 at night and he promised it would be installed the next day and it actually was but it didnt work properly now i have worked in maint for years so i went ahead and fixed it myself instead of wainting around for them to fix it.. now i bring you on our journey to april 2007 oh look or lease is almost up, here comes the question. sign a new lease' no i dont think so, the wife and I decided that tampa,fl is not for us, we find a lovely house and buy it in lakeland,fl.. we go to tell the managment that we will sign a month to month lease, and we do for 2 months rent goes up 50 a month not too bad... now i parked my car with a tire and i measured it 2.25 inches on the grass i get a giant yellow sticker on my windshield if not moved off of the grass car will be towed while we were out to lunch with the monther inlaw she parked her car with her front left tire barley on the grass as well guess what a giant yellow sticker. now the funny part cars across the street are always on the grass and noone cares. the wife calls the manager to ask where our guests should park' she says at the pool with is only a half block away, well its full there where should they park' at the second pool on the oppisite side of the complex. yeah ok right.. and if thats full shoyld she park at her house on the other side of tampa' sarah slayers said i guess thats your problem you only get 2 parking spaces for you and your guests.. no not 2 plus 2 for guests. 2 for both to use.. we have 2 cars as does many 2 person families...
long story short our second month of the month to month lease is up on july 1st. i am offialy moved out on june 24th into my new home and i cant beleive it the NIGHTMARE on marta dr is over. the lady with the mold in the ac is our neighbor across the street i dont know her personally but i have spoken with her friend and i am totally shocked that they havent done anything about that...

I PLEASE BEG OF YOU DO NOT EVER EVER MOVE TO WILDWOOD ACRES WORST PLACE ON EARTH!!!!!

I am a previous resident and agree with you 100%. We cut our lease and left b/c this place is BAD NEWS!!! We also had 3 break-in's in a month and all we were told was "oh, someone is out to get you". No, it is the crappy people that they are moving in and not doing background checks on!!!

Let's start off by saying Wildwood will promise you anything to get you to move in... THEN THE NIGHTMARES BEGINS. First we were shown several apartments that were not ready to be viewed. They looked old and worn-out but we were PROMISED that everything was being updated. Well when we arrived on our move in day the apartment was half ass painted and partially cleaned. Maintenance on my apartment looked as if a 6-year-old child did it to say the lease. We have had no pest control since we moved in and when we called the office they say we were there but no one answered-- BULL. Someone is always here. When I mention I had pest problem in the apartment I was told why are you feeding them. The windows don't work, some are cracked, screens are either taped in or held in with screws, and kitchen cabinets doors and drawers don't work properly. The electrical issues are a code enforcement nightmare. Faucets still leaking after calling in every week for repairs. Broken water pipes (clothes were soaking wet carpets wet and did they send someone to clean the carpet NO did they offer to help pay for the laundry bill NO), sewer back ups (NO one cleaned the carpets or disinfected anything), ceiling fans that don't work, and the so called front yards and back yards there all SAND AND WEEDS. If the manager Sara Slayers or Kathy would only get out of the office and meet with some of the residents after they move in or after maintenance work was performed in her community she might think about replacing the staff before the owner replaces her. If anyone has been encountering the same problems as we have I would suggest that you write the owner of this community.
