I've live here going on 4 years. It is in a great location. The staff is wonderful. Everywhere you go yes, you come face to face with some issues but once that gets taken care of, everything is great again. I have to admit, crime in the area has gotten somewhat higher but there is a courtesy officer who does live right on property and does infact drive around property when on duty and when theres an emergency on property hes there. I pulled a report off of hillsborough sheriff.com and the area all around is getting hit with crime but see people are blaming the staff or actuall property for that matter. Which in this case it's knowones fault. I've talked with the sheriff and they said that there taken more drive thurs around and there trying the best they can to get crime to go down. If you think Tampa Plms area is even better, go pull the report it will be the same. So what people...where do we go''' Out of state, keep running from small problems' This is a very lovely place, barely any noise and the place very breezing because all the trees. So I would recommend it to anyone! Hope everyone has a great day!

You are correct, crime in the are in general is increasing due to the closing of some subsidised housing (what I gathered from Sheriff's office). It may not be the fault of anyone, however, other communities are stepping up and taking some simple steps to improve security. I think that is all anyone is asking. The fact that there is an officer living on the property is a nice perk for that area but lets not act like it was planned that way. He seemed to have no effect all the times the laundry room was vandalised, or the numerous times I as well as others with young children went to the pool or laundry room and had to leave because there were people smoking pot in the gym and right out at the pool. As far as noise goes I live in K building and I can hear music thumping all hours of day and night from the people across the way. Red mitsubishi's, white ones, groups of people hanging in the parking lot yelling and screaming yo this suck this all the while the car stereo is blaring. These same noise offenders also speed thru the parking lots with no regard to the fact that we have elderly residents as well as young children walking to and from the mailboxes and pool/laundry area. Again every place you go you have issues, is this place wonderfull? No. Is it horrible? No. I think we are all just trying to say there are some things that should be addressed before others.

Way to go anonymous! I know of the incidents you refer to and would have to agree with your thoughts. My smallest boy walked up to me one day at the pool with a "joint" that he had grabbed from one of the benches. The officer in property has been helpfull on a few occasions, and I do think the staff should start doing more to enforce the noise and speeding. Obviously the tiny little reminders in the monthly newsletter are not stopping the fact that these kids still continue to fly around here like a speedway, and the reason they have to scream to each other in the parking lots is because the loss of hearing from those loud vehicle stereos. My older kids are no longer allowed to the mailbox or the computer room alone either(my youngest never was) as I often will drive to check the mail, it's safer.

I have lived at Willowbroke since 2005 and am not impressed with the other complexes around USF or in Tampa Palms. Other renters have posted similar concerns with staff, maintenance, parking and crime. My rent for a 2 bedroom is below 700 (however it will rise if I re-up) and I may stay here for another year because I don't want to pay 300 more for a 2 bed/2 bath apartment to have the same problems. My friend lives in Oak Ramble and her car was stolen last week. I was sold on moving to St. Croix or Lakeview Oaks and realized there are more noise violations and apartment burglaries there than in Willowbrooke. So why pay 200-400 more for a similar space in a "better-looking" building.
