WINDRIDGE \ GRAND PAVILION

Horrible, roach infested, cheap quality, no washer dryer hook ups, 8 washers and dryers for over 300 people, loud stereo systems in the parking lot, DRIVE BY SHOOTING 3 TIMES BETWEEN 12/06 - 2/07, ghetto, crappy management, buildings falling apart, THEY TURN OFF THE WATER WITHOUT WARNING FOR 12 HOURS, lots of domestic disturbances, dog ---- everywhere, pest control every 4 months, over charging, bad maintainance.

These people care more about how the place looks from the outside, and they totally neglect the inside. They are selling these as condos now, not worth a penny.

I wonder if you are talking about Windridge Apartments on Barton Skyway. Some units do have washer/dryer hookups. I live in an efficiency, so I don't have them, but my neighbor across the parking lot lives in a 2BR and does have connections. I don't have roaches, maybe you brought them with you from your old place, or maybe you need to clean up after yourself more. Haven't heard any loud stereos in the parking lot, and definitely haven't heard any gunshots (I've lived there since 10/06 during the time of your supposed drive-by shooting) hah! management is very friendly and accomodating, if you give them a chance. They aren't going to help you if you go in there ranting and raving. Haven't heard of any domestic disturbances and I'm outside all of the time. Yes, with my dog. That's why I live there. They are pet friendly. There is a big sign on the street that says "Pet Friendly". Didn't you see it when you took your tour? For the location, you can't beat the price. The duplexes across the street are valued at and above 500K. The buildings are old, so yeah there are some maintenance issues, but they are quick to fix everything. They are not selling them as condos as far as I know. So, I guess it depends what you're looking for. If you are comfortable in a white, pretty, stuffy, place then this is not the place for you. If you want a place where you can be comfortable, get to know your neighbors and "hang" with them, hike everyday on the greenbelt, have easy access to downtown and the bus route, and have a convenience store and a Taco Deli right around the corner, then this might be the place for you. :)

The area is not the best, I have heard gunshots in the distance. I have lived here since 03/06 and have never heard of a drive-by shooting happening in the time frame that person said. There is a new person in the office everytime I go in, but they are usually friendly. Pet friendly is the main perk, so I don't know why you would move there if you despise being around dogs. But they are indeed selling them as condos now. THey sent the residents info. on it not too long ago.

Anon poster of 4 26 07 these are not Windridge Apartments on Barton Skyway they are on Bruce B Downs Blvd and there are NO units with W/D i am sure your apartment is very nice... it is not these

Don't know about a drive-by shooting within that time frame but there was a domestic related shooting in the very rear of the complex late one night. Only story I was able to get from bystanders on scene after the fact was that subject #1 drove up, exited the vehicle, and had a confrontation with subject #2. Subject #1 produced a weapon and shots were fired with no injuries. Shooter fled the scene prior to the arrival of law enforcement. I never heard if they caught the guy or not.
