When I first moved in I thought this place was great, but now I realize that it is not. The only reason I would renew my lease is because of my short commute to work and the fact that they allow big pets, but I'm currently looking for other apartments.

The "security" gates work some of the time, and they do little to secure the community anyway. On more than one occassion I have seen people driving in from the road over the sidewalk in the back...and you can just walk around the gates anyway...not to mention cars have been stolen from the parking lot!!!

The walls are thin, and I've heard my neighbors intimacies...the landscapers are very noisy with those leaf blowers and they don't have any consideration for the cars parked in the lot...I have a nice ding in the side of my new car from them.

The rent is high, and the electricity is outrageous...I live on the 3rd floor and in the summer keep the A/C between 70 and 73 and it was about $220 a month.

On the good side, the people in the leasing office are nice, and the grounds are pretty.

Too funny! I moved out of there about a year ago and had the very same complaints! If Summerhill reduced their rent charges, it would be a compromise for all the irritating issues that you listed....good call, I agree with you completely!
