I was a Flight Safety student in Vero Beach and stayed at the Pines of Vero from Nov 2000 til Nov 2001. For the money I was paying for a 2 bedroom it was an okay place. The only complaints I have is the pool is outdoors and there's always a ton of kids in it, the gym is tiny, the parking spaces aren't properly marked so if you park in someone else's space you get bitched at by one of the other tenants which most are a-holes, not to mention people will park in your space due to the inproper markings, the staff only really consists of one person, he's okay cept don't ever give them a check without having the money already in the bank, don't give them a check and with the money arriving the next day, they will attempt to cash it the day you give it to them even if you say it won't be in there til the next day. They will make you pay with Money Orders the rest of the time you are there. Another thing was my dishwasher was broken the entire time I was there and was never fixed, Also about 2 months before I moved out the air conditioner broke and was never fixed properly, After 2 and a half weeks of having to use a couple regular fans they half way fixed it with the AC blowing luke warm air. When I did move out it still wasn't fixed. The area was quiet except for when all the kiddies were running around outside screaming thier heads off. but usually that was only during the day. Just be careful with the other tenants I'd say about 80% of them are white trash or Rednecks.. but then again it is Florida so what do ya want. The other 20% that are okay are usually flight school students.
