The Pines of Vero cares nothing for its tenets, The people that live here are made promises upon moving in that certain problems will be fixed immediately. This is not the case.
After 2 months of moving in my fridge stopped working. It was then replaced. The replacement only lasted another month.
Safety rails on the second floor are broken and dangerous. This problem has been ignored for more than a year. Several fire extinguishers are either missing or without a cert tag, almost all of them have no glass to protect them from tampering.
There is also a severe termite problem here. The management had a termite inspection for a loan, and of course instead of wanting to look out for there tenents, they only inspected a freshly cleaned apartment that was available to rent.
Moving here was a grave mistake, if I knew then what I know now. I would never have moved in.

Maybe you should have found another place. All the apartments were inspected, not just the painted ones, as they are being taken over by new owners. You won't have to wait much longer to move...THEY ARE GOING CONDO. I'm sure the new people will let you move with no problem as all, as the apartment you are now complaining about will sell for about 170K

Actually... I do know what termites look like . both the droppings that they produce and the wings that they leave when they are swarming... as for how long. I have been here. Just about a year. As for leaving because there are termites.. I guess you dont have one of those nifty little pieces of paper called a lease. Try reading it

i do know what a lease is and most of them have opps to get out by giving a proper notice...maybe you need to read yours again and i bet it says 60 days notice some places they say 30 have a good look at it. again and give your notice if you are unhappy...

to the Anonymous poster above...just got my letter offering to sell me my unit (1BR) for 121K. Good Luck to you in finding another rental here in Vero...they are all going condo or low income. Hope you qualify for the later....not so easy, been looking now for three weeks. Nothing out there, I would much rather have a loose railing, or a fire extguisher at more door out of date by a few weeks (SIGH) Goodbye Pines

watch them move fast as condos...investors will buy them at that price 5 or 10 at the time. good luck to the complainer that got in at the pines and is not happy see how fast they come up with the money it does take to move if they find something....the pines has been a great place for me very good location and reasonable rent..you can get a bad neighbor in the best of town you never know who or what you will get next door any where in vero or the u.s. for that matter.
