Used to be a nice place!

Lived here with my daughter from October 2002 to June 2005. It was really nice in the beginning and I had no complaints. However, management kept changing and things went downhill. Thank God I was able to move in with just a $100 security deposit. I dreaded bedtime each night because the walls were so thin you could hear snoring as well as people talking, television noise, etc. My car was towed from out front, but I had parked there because I got home very late one night and there was no guest parking available by the office. I did not want to walk home by myself. Cost me $80 something dollars. I thought it had been stolen! One guy was dealing drugs next to me, the other unit had a transvestite and an insane boyfriend who would keep kicking the front door to get her/him to open it. Complained to management about it...asking that they prohibit him from visiting because of all the fighting and they never did anything. I had to call the cops two or three times. I had no choice. There is no hurricane coverage for the bedroom windows and during the hurricanes of 2004' we had water damage in the unit because water seeped in due to no hurricane protection. Had an ant problem continuously. Alligators were in the lakes and I never knew till one greeted my neighbor under me when he was leaving one morning for work. The alligator was "sunning" on the lawn! I called the office immediately as I was fearful nobody else knew the gators were in the lakes and there were children constantly playing around the water (throwing rocks, etc.) Management did post signs, but they were always blown down or possibly kicked over by the kids, and I was terrified a gator would come up out of the water and grab a child...it was awful. I no longer live in Florida, and if I ever moved back to Wellington, I would NEVER move into Polo Lakes. It is a shame, because it really did use to be a beautiful place.

Good thing you moved! I am not sure what community you lived in?
I had an issue with one of my neighbors and noise and managment took care of it for me. I have not had any issues, and if you park on the curb you should be towed. Alligators? Sure there are alligators, you live in Florida! Dah!

Well good for you that management took care of your problem...they did not for me after repeated attempts to get them to. Yeah, I live in Florida and know about alligators living in this state, but it's up to management to either post or notify tenants of the fact that they are actually living in the lake. At anytime, any one or more of the children who played by the water could have ended up being lunch! And I'm even more happy that I moved, since a guy was murdered on Ripley Run! You want to stay there? Well good luck to you Mister.

There was not only that murder on Riply run. There was the drug addict who broke a sliding glass door to my neighbors to try to get to her little girl. The managment didnt even offer her out of her lease. She was a single mom. It was really sad.
