Awful Management, Misc. trouble.

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2008
Our family lived there from 2005-2006, while we were waiting for our home to be build. We rented the largest townhouse with 2 car garage. At first I thought is was great and there are a few good things about it. Like the gym that has a kids room, the heated pool and the sidewalk around the community. The very first day we moved in, we had trouble with the office workers and our townhouse. Our place was so dirty, they later had to pay back the cleaning service I hired to clean the place. They gave us the hardest time, telling us it was all in our head, they didn't even want to help, but I contacted the corporate office, so they had no choice. Later after meeting some of the other neighbors, we found out, they had the same issues too. Needless to say our apartment smelled terrible and it was later found, after much fighting with the office, the previous tenets had a dog who ruined the upstairs carpet. We got them to replace it and the carpet person couldn't believe we had to argue with office, the stench was awful and there was dog urine everywhere. This was our 1st experience with Polo Lakes. At the time our son was 3 and it was so stressful to have all these problems upon move-in. The worst part was the office treated us like garbage.
After we got the place clean, we enjoyed it. But after a while, we noticed more and more nice people were leaving and more troubled people were moving in. Bigger kids were hanging around, getting into trouble and the police were often called to polo Lakes.
It is a shame because it could be such a beautiful place. It is certainly in a great area, an area that has everything a family could want.
Bottom line: Management is awful, beware of troubled tenants and dirty apartments.
