Love it here, great for families!

I have been here 2 years and just renewed for another year. I was living in a 2-bdrm (Jasmine layout) and when my lease was up, I decided I needed more space. I could have moved anywhere (especially with rents so cheap right now!), but I decided to STAY in the complex, moving to a 3-bdrm (Evergreen) because I love it here.

The apartments are very quiet, I've lived on the 2nd floor all this time and I never hear anyone above or below me and three different tenants have moved in there over the time I've been here. Even when I've heard kids playing outside or people barbeque-ing, I close my door or windows to silence. I chose a 2nd floor again for my 3-bdrm!

But lots of apartment complexes are quiet, what sets Amli apart is the way they make you feel at home. The staff are wonderful, kind, caring people who really go out of their way to treat you like family and be sure you feel welcomed home.

One of the best things about the complex is that they do two special events a month that are FREE to participate in for your whole family--movie night at the pool (complete with popcorn, candy and soda!), a neighborhood yard sale, free tennis lessons, dinner and sundaes, breakfast on the "go", all kinds of great things that make you feel welcome and part of a neighborhood. Halloween is extra special here too since they give free pizza and soda (and candy!) to everyone before dark so you don't have to worry about doing dinner while trying to get costumes on! I've even had them send me home with extra pizza for later! I've lived in numerous apartment complexes over the years and have truly never seen anything like it--most of the time you're lucky to ever SEE the staff again after you move in (especially when you need something). Not at Amli, they are your neighbors and become trusted friends. They take emails long after office hours, and you can call the emergency number if you have a problem and get a call almost instantly, no matter what time of day or night.

The maintenance staff here are truly superior--anything breaks and they are in the next day, not just checking it out but FIXING it THAT DAY (even on SUNDAY!) always before I get home for lunch! They have all been here a long time so they are trustworthy and know the apts like the back of their hands. I've had them stop me in the parking lot to see how my dryer was working, or if I liked my new ice maker! They are just really neat and caring people. I can't recommend Amli more highly.

My only critique is that they should paint the apartments some other color than bright, glaring WHITE (I don't expect decorator colors, but hasn't anyone ever heard of OFF white even'' ), because their fixtures, cabinets and appliances are all WHITE WHITE WHITE. But I know most complexes do that so that's probably not even a fair criticism (And to be honest, if I asked them to, I bet they'd even paint it for me--I've asked for stranger things, believe me, and they have always said, "Sure!"). Ceiling fans would also be a nice touch in Florida and offering incentives to re-sign your lease is also a good ideas. Also, they just don't ever seem to be able to get the front gates to work! I think unmanned gates are silly anyway, since everyone can follow someone in (or walk around) at any complex if they really want to, but if you're worried about living in a gated community, you might not be pleased (And you really should make sure the one you get is manned then, otherwise you'll have the same issues anyway). Having lived here two years, I feel perfectly safe at Amli and the front gate isn't an issue to me.

Moving to the area sight unseen' Don't hesitate. Every complex offers you four walls and a place to live, Amli and the staff here has gone out of their way to make sure me and my sons feel at HOME. I moved here 2 years ago for the good price they offered and the location, I chose to stay here because I love it here.
