I lIved in Malibu Bay for one year and promptly moved out. The management in this complex is absolutely terrible and unsupportive. Ruby Vasquez and her crew are rude, unprofessional and downright TIRED!

During hurricane season, I had a tile fly off the roof of my building and land on my car completely destroying the windshield. Malibu Bay refused to take care of the damages and completely wrote me off. In addition, they constantly put notes on everyones door that were 1.) not on letterhead 2) had typos and mispellings and 3.)were completely unwarranted. Malibu Bay would fine you 25 dollars for trash being left outside of the compactor. What is a tennent supposed to do when the trash was never emptied nor maintained. Trash overflows from the compactor every single day because there is only ONE trash bin for the entire complex. In addition, included in your rent is a fee for on site car washing. THERE IS NO ON SITE CAR WASHING! Whats funnier is that they will fine you for washing your car in the complex. Also, you are not allowed to stand in yor breezeway or on your balcony. Your guests have no place to park. Tow trucks are called nightly. Malibu Bay also accepts SECTION 8. Need I say more' Your neighbors are likely drug dealers or people with a million kids...as was the case in my building. Constant fighting, cursing and yelling all day and night. The police and fire department are also no strangers to this community as they are called nightly for some disturbance or another or a kid pulling the fire alarm for fun. Lastly, YOU CAR WILL BE BROKEN INTO AND MALIBU BAY WILL DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. You and your complaint will be promptly DISMISSED from the front office. TAKE MY ADVICE AND MOVE ON!

when I went there, I thought it was nice, now I am not so sure, why all the apt complexes are money hungry, and fine people for basically everything.

Same here! Lived out my year lease and got out of there!!! Ruby Vasquez is a rude witch! Another forewarning...do not go over (not even a day)from the date your lease expires because they will charge you a full months rent!! I refused to pay and they filed an eviction notice against me after I had already moved out because they wanted their money! Ruined my credibility for no reason!! Malibu Bay is the worst and it will only get more worse once the mall closes down...the crime will be rampant!!
