The attractive thing about the Arbors is the rent: The price for even a 2 bedroom / 1 bath was 605 when i lived there in 2001. So you get good space and a comfortable location, mere blocks from commercially/retail busy 441.

The grounds are not well kept in terms of trash. There was litter in the halls daily, most of it from the mailboxes/ mail ads that would fall out of mailboxes. Since i lived on the first floor where the mailboxes are, it was worse for me.

There is some notable vandalism, particularly to the cars in the area. While i never fealt threatened, my fiancee, she was uncomfortable living there. There was loud noise from apartments many nights, people working on their cars in the parking lot (though it is prohibited), people out drinking at times. Very little enforcment of the rules, unfortunately.

management is usually busy so service is slow, maintenance doesnt always fix things right the first time given my personal experience.

The most important thing is that my first floor apartment was MOLDY. Mold in most cases is not good for your health and the bedroom wall turned green with mold from having the sprinklers hit the exterior wall. Even bleach did not deter it. If we had not felt sick we may have stayed another year given the fact that we were a startiing falily with little money.

Overall: An unsafe place, scary for some women, loud, littered. It could have certainly been improved with more responsive and strict security. I did not like seeing people standing outside the apartments and in the parking lots without t shirts drinking beer.

I do hope it has improved. The mold concerns me the most.

I LIVED HERE FROM 10/03 TO 10/05. THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE. THE OFFICE STAFF ARE IDIOTS! THEY MESSED UP MY RENEWAL LEASE FOR 2004. THEY MESSED UP ON THE PRICE OF THE RENT, THEY MADE IT $200 LOWER. TO NOT HAVE PROBLEMS, I TOLD THEM TO SLIDE UNDER MY DOOR A DUPLICATE LEASE WITH THE CORRECT PRICE, THEY NEVER DID. SO WHEN I STARTED PAYING MY RENT THAT WAS ON MY LEASE, THEY STARTED SENDING EVICTION NOTICES. I PROVIDED PROOF FROM MY BANK OF THE CHECKS THEY WERE CASHING FOR RENT AND SUED THEM THROUGH THE STATE. THEY LOST, OF COUSE!, AND HAD TO PAY A HEFTY FINE FOR HARASSING ME.I GUESS THAT THEY FORGOT A LEASE, WHICHEVER ONE IS GIVEN, IS A LEGALLY DOCUMENT AND AS LONG AS THE PERSON IS PAYING, THEY ARE O.K. AND LEAVE THEM ALONE! PERHAPS THEY SHOULD GET MORE PROFESSIONAL STAFFING IN THEIR OFFICE TO DO THE JOB !!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT PROBLEMS YOU ARE GOING TO GET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
