Overall the apartment and community were fine - management made my experience terrible.

I did not mind the time that I spent living at Shenandoah, but moving out was horrendous. Management really turns the screws on deposits and assessments, most likely because they get to retain a portion for themselves. I also had the claims that carpet needed to be replaced (not new when we moved in) and was unreasonably assessed for other claims. My wife spent hours scrubbing bathrooms, kitchen etc., only to have the Office Manager (name mentioned in an earlier response) claim that the apartment was in the worst shape she had ever seen.

I would not have even written this response, had I not read another comment about the same management and similar experience. Just be careful. I know I was treated unfairly.

I am not sure that anyone should be proud of managing what appears to be a deteriorating community. A successful manager would have moved on to bigger and better things.
