Do NOT be fooled by the propaganda being posted here! Windward Sucks! The managment will tell you ANYTHING to get you to sign a lease. Then your troubles will really begin. There are CBS block apartment communities where you do NOT hear your neighbors all night long. There are nicer, CHEAPER places to live where you pay for your water, sewer and garbage direct and are not being gouged an extra $20 - $30 per month. There are great places that do NOT retain heat from the color scheme and drive up your electric bill. There are wonderful places that maintenance is a priority and NOT a joke. People - DO YOUR HOMEWORK! Windward is a wood frame complex that is rotting away. All the cosmetic quick fixes don't change that simple fact. Balconies are separating from the buildings and they are tearing them down and taking FOREVER to replace them. Why, because they didn't pull the permits first! You are given NO WARNING WHATSOEVER that work will be done on or near your unit. (They painted over a wreath hanger on a door, rather than take the time to remove it). Your car will be so far away from your apartment and will be keyed, backed into and vandalized. Nails are all over the parking lots. Drugs abound in this complex!!! Call the WPB police department and ASK them about Windward. Don't just take anyone's word, CHECK IT OUT!!! And then, RUN LIKE HELL!!!!!!

People will write anything just to get their voice heard. What's sad is that they say your given no warning but yet I received a letter on my door 2 weeks in advance about all work taking place. I also received a notice on my door a month in advance about the Construction that is taking place. Wow people really need to start reading the notes that are posted on the doors then they will be informed. There is no nails all over the parking lots, no drugs abound the complex. Yes balconies are separating from the buildings but yet if you take a look they are replacing those balconies. Get with the picture people. Don't take peoples words on this review about the Windward at the Villages. Come to the property and look at it yourself. You will see that these reviews are not what they seem to be. These are just people that either got evicted, didn't pay rent ontime, had to many complaints filed on them, or just didn't get along with anyone and are nasty people. Thanks, Resident of the Windward at the Villages for 3 years and still counting.

Yes, there are notes on doors. But, YES there are nails all over the property. YES the balconies are still not finished after more than a month. YES there are drugs here, call the WPB police and they will confirm that. Why is it that if you complain about something here you are labeled a "nasty person"? Maybe if the management responded to some of the very real complaints about this complex people would not resort to bashing it on sites like this.
