The bathtub located upstairs was apparently leaking and the tub was falling through the floor. The landlady said that to fix the problem she would have to "tear open that wall". Because of the water leakage there was a fungus problem... mushrooms grew out of a large crack running up the wall between the tub and the floor. The problem was never fixed. When the water started leaking through the kitchen ceiling, landlady poked a hole in it to fix it.
The Electricity: Most of the outlets did not work. To plug in something in the bedroom, every top outlet had to have something plugged in to complete the circuit or nothing would work at all. In the kitchen only one outlet worked, the others shot blue beams out when you tried to plug something in. When I asked for this major problem to be fixed, the only thing that happened was the railing at the stairs got repainted.
The faucet in the bathtub fell off and was replaced with a faucet that was too small, so the pipe was exposed. That was soposed to be temporary but lasted for a year until I moved out. There was a wasp problem. My apartment had 6 nests under upstairs eaves and front and back doors, it was never fixed. As far as other pests, I was told not to use roach spray because pest control came out and took care of it, but I still could not keep the roaches out. Twice a year for the 2 years I lived there the sewer backed up and flooded my kitchen.
Don't expect to receive your deposit back even if you clean and have not destroyed anything and have left improvements.
